Update/News? I moved!

It’s been awhile since I came here and decided to check again.

For anyone curious or would have wanted to know what’s been going on, I’ve decided to move to a new art blog for reasons. Some of the reasons being just wanting to start fresh and also trying to change my style (a bit)? I just don’t feel as happy and comfortable here as I did before so there’s that!

I’m slowly filling up my new blog with art now and will most likely be sticking there so if anyone still wants to follow (I’d be really flattered if you still wanted to follow, haha), you’re free to send me an ask. Anons have been turned off so I’ll be replying privately to people with my new blog url. :)

To reiterate, I will also no longer be posting on this blog. I’m keeping it up for archive purposes and still keeping my terms but there won’t be any new posts of art here.

Answering some asks

Sorry for the super late response to these! Thank you so much for the interest in my Miraculous Bat OC, Nikolai/Résonner!

Kwami swap, I’d imagine it’d just be the same outfits to fit them haha. And anon 2, yes I think they’d get along fine too!

Just to clear things up, they are not a ship haha.

Anon 4, thank you for liking my art and my Miraculous OC! The Miraculous Tiger OC is not my character though, and she belongs to @simply-nerdy-gal :) The drawings were commissioned as well! So nothing romantic between them. ^^;

For personality, Nikolai is easygoing/chill, friendly, curious and mischievously playful at times. He gets into (mild) shenanigans with my friend @wontonton​‘s OC, Mathis. Although he’s open to making friends, he never really shares his thoughts to others so he’s a lot more compliant and rarely ever argues back. As Résonner, he’s a lot more excitable and energetic and as opposed to his casual self, he’s more outspoken and blunt which usually doesn’t receive positive feedback from others specifically the other Miraculous holders he works with such as with @yildraws​‘ Flying Squirrel. Along with that, as Résonner, he’s a lot more daring.

As for backstory-- it’s kind of complicated right now since I haven’t figured it out completely yet! But what I can say, he’s only living with his grandmother. I haven’t thought of anything else but feel free to ask specifics if you’d like more answers!

I’ve received a couple of ML OC/Miraculous OC related questions/messages and I’m so sorry for not replying to them (yet)! I’ll get to them as soon as my workload has lessened (which might take some time) so I can put a few doodles with them when answering. Thank you to everyone who has sent messages so far! You’re all very sweet and nice and I’m flattered you guys are interested in Nikolai. :D

Can I ask about your own ML OCs and some tips for designing one of my own? I love your style :3

Hello, anon! Thank you for liking my style. It's very flattering!

If there's anything specific you'd like to ask, feel free to! As for tips, whenever I'm designing my character, it's always good to have references up for superhero suits/outfits along with Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Volpina's designs. You can get inspiration and ideas from those as they somehow follow the superhero (spandex) outfit of the canon Miraculous characters. If anything, simple but noticeable is good to keep in mind for your design!

For the civilian look, references help too. Fashion blogs and images for clothes and hair if ever you're stuck with it. But overall it's your choice too how happy and contented you'll be with your design!

These are just how I personally work on making my Miraculous OCs/designs so it’s not universal but just some information if anyone would like to try out. If it works for you, I’m glad!

Key notes: references, simple but noticeable, what makes you happy and enjoy drawing/playing your character. :D
