headcanon that he finds the willpower to live because he knows that snake wanted the best for him and sunny, and because he's learned after all the people that he's lost and all that he's been through that he's strong enough to stand on his own and move forward, and by doing so he can keep their memories alive. he does it even though it's hard, even though it hurts, even though some days he struggles to get out of bed, even though he'll always love him
