I keep starting new digital art without ever finishing old ones

but I wanted to do a new self portrait since I did just turn 30 and I gotta stop using ones I made between ages 23-26

I've been a WHA fan for several years now, but with the anime release and also the lastest chapters I got really back into it again this year

Oops didn't post for a month

In my defense I started a job at the end of January as an elementary school art teacher, so the only time I've had to make art in a while is all making kid level art with hundreds of children all week

On the other hand, managed to re-invigorate my focus on this oc by actually writing all his lore down (well I've written about half of it down but haven't done as much detail as I've wanted yet, plus I've written like 25 pages of content over the last week or so)

#story/content I've made in my mind for this guy and his friends over the last 10-11 years but really dun into in the last year or so

I think there's a lot I could/would change on this piece but I started it like 2 months ago and no I have a full time job and I already wasn't feeling this as much before the job so I'm just dropping it as is

I have a fulltime job now so I have significantly less time for my own personal drawing/art...

#ironically my job is art teacher #elementary school art teacher #but the art I have time to do is making art for elementary schoolers' lessons #I just want to be home drawing these guys all day #but I also need money to live

Every week I open a new Clip Studio paint file and ignore the 5 other open unfinished ones so I can grow my collection

I think one of my main issues with painting stuff like this is that I really want to in the daylight hours but also in the daytime I'm either like working or wanting to be outside or exercising or doing house chores or whatever,

but the moment the sun actually goes below the horizon I lose all drive to work on something like this and instead I want to draw silly little cartoon characters

my hair so dark/same color as the brown background that you can't see my hair spikes in this photo

#also funny that I religiously cosplayed Mia Fey for years as a teenager until I transitioned medically and started cosplaying Apollo #he may have lowkey been a transition goal for 19 year old me #wip

One of my biggest mistakes is that I made a lot of scenarios in my mind where he rides a motorcycle so now if I want to draw those scenes I have to practice drawing motorcycles
