Hello all. This year we are hosting a MDAS Christmas songfic challenge instead of a fic exchange. The greatest Christmas hits in a Luciferian jacket so to speak.
For this challenge, we ask for the songs to be prominently featured in the fics, either as a traditional songfic where the characters are singing the lyrics/with the lyrics as a backdrop, or literally featuring what's happening in the song itself for easy recognition.
We added a list of songtitles for inspiration though you are welcome to add your own choices to the list as well as claim the ones you like for yourself.

The third annual Michael Demiurgos Appreciation Society holiday fanworks event.
Third, rules:
*This is a Michael-centric gift exchange, as a result we are going to encourage mainly having Michael as the primary character or focus in fic, art, videos...etc.
*However, we will also ask if people as one of their sign-up questions would prefer any gift that either crosses over or might involve Tom Ellis in another role like Godcat in Exploding Kittens or Oliver Knight in Tell Me Lies. If we have two people with requests and willingness to do something that's TE-related from other projects, then we will consider doing that as a pairing option as well. It depends on if we have two people who match up in that way, but you are allowed to give a Tom Ellis in another media project answer to that specific question as a prompt, yes***
*This is an all ship zone. The only exceptions are for ships that might be seen as promoting inappropriate adult/underage relationships or bestiality. Everything else goes. If you don't like it, don't request it or add comments to it when works are revealed.
*The sign up list will ask everyone what their squicks/triggers are. If you have them, please list them. This helps us to appropriately make sure you're paired doing work for someone who matches you and also so you don't have to make something that makes you feel uncomfortable.
*The exchange has two hosts, myself (Legendarytobes) and Dtaina. You need to save our email when we reach out to you with assignments and be open with if stuff comes up. We don't mind, we just want to have enough time to let possible pinch hitters know.
*Similarly, please reach out to me or to Dtaina if you need more clarification of your giftee's prompts. We can always be intermediaries and ask the giftee for more specifications if that will help you create better as the Creator.
*Yes, if your giftee requests something with AU or crossovers you can do that. If they don't specifically request a crossover or AU michael idea, then you need to try and honor their prompt/request as closely as possible.
*Also, honor ratings requests of your giftee. If they want something to stay PG, then please do that. We will try as hosts to pair people who have similar heat level requests together as well.
*You will provide three prompts. The gifter who makes your gift only has to fulfill one of the three. They can do more but one out of the three prompts fulfilled is all that is required.
*Please feel free to spread this all over the internet and social media. We love to have new people participate too. Even if you've never made a fanwork, you can feel free to start now!
*In case you feel overwhelmed by being a new participant---and we love new people---but a story only has to be 500 words minimum and a vid only has to be 60 seconds and art only has to be one drawing/image. And, yes, we'll also take poems if that's your kind of fanwork.
*If you want to use AI to create images like from Bing AI Art, that is allowed. We do not want, however, fanfics created with ChatGPT at this time.
So, if you're on the fence about trying it, this is a great way to try creating in fandom too.

Finally, please keep in mind:
*This is a very golden rule place. If you can't say something nice about a work, then just don't say anything and respect all types of Michael appreciation.

“I can see that,” Michael grumbled back, clearly trying to rack his brain for what was going on.
“Aw, I didn’t know you were expecting, Michael,” Lucifer teased his twin, “Congratulations, you’re a father!”
This multi-chapter fic was written for a MDAS (Michael Demiurgos Appreciation Society) 666-prompt in May. Currently, there’s only 2 chapters posted, but two more have been written and there will be more to come! You can read this fic right now! You know, if you want to that is. 🫶🏽
The MDAS will be hosting Pirate Month this August. So give us your best 'arrrh' and the map to the Fountain of Youth (asking for a friend).
#luciferpiratemonth is the tag we'll be using on AO3 and Tumblr. The MDAS challenge collection will remain open from July 31st till September 1st to allow for all time zones to have the full month to post their works.

3) It can be solo (masturbation/fantasies/day dreams), a couple, a trio, or even more for the "pairings." It can be any type of combination (except Michael with underage character. If it's set when an underage character is no longer under 18, then that's alright).

Hello! Just got into Lucifer this year, so I'm new to the fandom (and only just started writing Michael ff like a literal week ago). I saw your Secret Sword 2023 update and had an etiquette question: should ff writers (who are not a part of SS23) delay publishing or updating their works in the Lucifer tag so the SS23 participants get more visibility?
(Hope that's okay to ask here. I haven't been invited to the MDAS discord server and the FB page doesn't seem to be as active as tumblr)
It's fine to post your own stuff at your own schedule though we definitely appreciate you offering to postpone. Since the Michael fandom is already so small, we are used to slipping through the cracks and getting found by readers anyway. So happy posting😇🖤

We are coming up on January 6th fast. It is the day we will be opening up the collection and the creators will be putting their works up ANONYMOUSLY for the first week under the collection at Ao3.
We didn't put up one earlier because fics and arts saved as "Drafts" backdate to the date they were uploaded and end up *not* coming up on the front page of the Lucifer works section of AO3 on the 6th that way.
However, on Saturday the 6th of January, we will be putting the collection up. That's six days from now. If you are struggling with your assignment or think you have to drop out, that is okay.
All you have to do is privately message me (ivyquinnauthor here on tumblr or via email = [email protected]). No hard feelings! We have a slew of pinch hitters/back up artist and authors who can pitch in. We just prefer warning now.
As promised, here's another "Got the Devil's 666" prompt for you. These prompts are open to all writers. So, if you want to try your hand at writing fic, you need a break from your epic longfic, or you just want to try a different genre, these are for you. And don't worry, they don't have to be done within the month😉.
