This novel, the first in the series, is about a teenage boy named Michael. He and his mother live in Idaho, where although he has a single friend and gets bullied every day, he is content. Michael has a secret power nobody knows of, other than he, his mother, and his best friend Ostin… or so they think. When Michael meets another person who has powers similar to his, the discover that there are more out there like them. Will Michael join them, or stay with his mother? A better question is: Can he trust them? 

This book was pretty enjoyable. It had a child-fiction feel to it, which I ended up not being a big fan of, but the plot was entertaining and kept me hooked. I don’t really know why I didn’t love this book (don’t get me wrong, in no way am I saying that I hated it), but it just simply is not my favorite. If you are into superhero-type characters, electricity, and secret agencies, then I say give this book a try! Happy Reading!
