~ Actin' like they too hot to dance
Uhm, what next.
Yuusei usually had great adaptability skills but this place was making him feel like he was swimming in deep water. Partying, social interactions, alcohol flowing, loud music… It was as if everything he didn’t like or was not entirely comfortable with had been gathered in one place. He still couldn’t find Crow in the crowd, it seemed he was still stuck here for the time being.
And well, either the girl wasn’t interested or she was playing with him. Not even a smile as a thank, and was she looking the other way on purpose? It was plain rude. At least he had tried, he told himself. He could have gone talk to her but he didn’t want to be a bother or make her feel uncomfortable. He sighed and finished his glass, briefly considering ordering another drink until he remembered he had decided to stay sober to make sure Crow would make it home safe. He simply went for a soda. The music would probably give him a headache sooner or later, he didn’t need alcohol to add to it.
When his eyes met with that girl again, he was the one to look the other way. It was always a little embarrassing to get turned down.
Alright. V could not have just sat there and let this young man think he was a girl. He felt terribly guilty not saying anything. Instead, V got up from his table and approached the stranger, thoroughly embarrassed. He could do this, it was simple enough; all V had to tell him was the truth.
"Excuse me," he said, trying to grab the stranger's attention. It was a lot harder to do this now, when those pretty blue eyes were on him. Ah. "I think there's been a misunderstanding. You see, I am not female." Though, maybe, the depth of V's voice would have given it all away before he could have even told the truth.
V felt terrible about this. The poor man must've been so embarrassed over this! He probably didn't want to accidentally hit on a male. "I'll reimburse you for the drink," he said, pulling out his wallet. It was the least he could do, and he felt terrible taking a free drink when, in a way, it was not fully intended for him.
But there was one thing for sure. V would not be coming back here again!
