I think the saddest part about it is not us drifting apart, or the long gaps between replies, or even the unreturned phone calls. The saddest part was that you let me walk away, and said absolutely nothing. Because for a moment there, no matter how short our encounter was, I thought you cared. Cared enough to say something at least.
