Anyways it’s upsetting that adults like those writers ever interact with children because ridicule (and trauma…yes it is that deep) at the hands of adults is so traumatizing because of the inherent vulnerability kids face because they’re kids. on and offline, all children need to be empowered to speak up against adults and adults need to held more accountable for their interactions with children. the same outrage is needed for the regular kids when they’re picked on by family members and adults that hold positions of power over them as the famous ones that people feel bold enough to say hurtful things about anonymously. PROTECT AND BELIEVE CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!

heres some unpopular opinions on the horror genre: if a piece of media in the horror genre is focused mostly or entirely on gore, it isnt horror, its just tortureporn. a little gore goes a long way and theres nothing wrong with adding it as long as you dont go overboard. if your piece of media focuses nearly entirely on gore and violence toward the protagonists without any meaning or subtlety, its not horror. horror is about intensity and fear, not whatever weird fantasies horror directors have about how many people (usually young women) they can horribly mutilate on screen.

I’m all for exploring themes like abuse and trauma...respectfully. With nuance and discretion. Showing sexual assault in explicit detail is not that. It’s voyeuristic and disrespectful. It is fully possible to explore the ramifications of rape and other forms of sexual violence without being pornographic.
