hi everyone (or no one). crush got so serious that it made me mostly quit tumblr. but i'm back now because i think there are good signs and i have to indulge in that by writing about it everywhere i can.

i can't believe eye contact is actually so powerful! when you like a person. and you want to look in their eyes. and they seem to want to look in your eyes too. and it feels like safety and like an agreement. and just maybe he only wants to be your friend but you wouldn't mind that much because you'd still get the feeling of being connected to him. and you might not know what to say to him at times but you can feel less stupid about it when his eyes seem to be a reassurance. and it's crazy because for a while you were avoiding each other's eyes at all costs and his eyes seemed guarded from you but that must've just been fear. and you're definitely not gonna let it go back to that. it seems you've set the record straight - and either it's decided that you can be friends and don't have to be afraid there are other awkward implications (though that's definitely not what you're feeling on your side), or that you do mutually really like and want to be close to each other and don't need to be apologetic about it (sounds better)

inevitably you are going to start doubting yourself again in the two days you don't see him and will get scared about how to pick up where you left off, but it can't return to being as miserable as before.
