What am I going to do?
Sitting on the bathroom floor right beside the toilet Aria sighed softly leaning her head back against the wall. Biting down on her lower lip Aria willed the urge to puke again to go away. She didn't remember being sick the night before or even yesterday. "What the hell is.." Pausing it dawned on her. She stood up and grabbed her phone before allowing herself to slide back down against the wall. Pulling up the calendar she sighed. "Fucking hell.." the brunette muttered as she let her phone slide to the ground. Feeling very nauseated she sat up barely making it over the toilet before it happened again. The violet heaving was nearly too much for her body. When she was done she sank back and tears began to stream down her cheeks. Closing her green eyes she hoped she was wrong. She knew she wasn't but she could pray right? She wanted to be wrong. She didn't want a baby right now. She wasn't in the right time or place to expand her family.
"Hey Aria?" She looked up as Ezra poked his head in. "Are you okay?" Aria nodded. "Yeah. I'm fine. Just not feeling well. I think it's the flu." she spat out. She flushed the toilet and she looked up at him. "I don't think I'm going to work today." she added quietly. Before she could lean her head back he was beside her. "Let me help you to bed. I'll call in for the both of us and ---" Aria stopped him. She was now standing and he had her phone but that didn't mean anything. "No. You're going to work. I'm not going to let you stay home and risk getting sick too. You can help me back to bed but do not even look at me. Spray the bathroom completely so you can get ready in here." she pointed out. She could hear and feel his sigh. When he leaned in to kiss her after she climbed into bed. "No. Ezra I don't want you getting sick." She pulled herself away and he backed away looking defeated.
"Go get ready." She sighed softly. "I love you. I just don't think we both need to be sick. I have deadlines to meet that I may have to push off. I don't want you being sick because of me." she tried to sound reasonable but she wasn't sure he bought it. When he walked towards the bathroom looking like a defeated puppy she had to force herself not to giggle. She picked up the phone that was placed on the bedside table before he walked away and she tried to figure out how she was going to handle this. She had to figure out how to do it without letting anything slip to him. That alone was going to be the hardest part for her and she knew it but it was what she had to do. When Ezra finally came out of the bathroom fully ready she forced a small smile. "Have a great day at work." she managed to sit up a little. When he nodded and came closer she inched backwards.
"I love you Aria. I don't care if you make me sick." Aria sighed. "I told you. We both don't need to miss work because I made you sick. Text me if it will make you feel better. I love you too." she blew him a kiss and watched as he walked out of their bedroom. Since the apartment was small it didn't take much for her to hear the front door close. She stayed in bed waiting to see if he'd come back. When half an hour passed and she was feeling nauseated again she headed back for the bathroom. Sitting back on the floor she dug around for the old pregnancy tests they had and when she found them it didn't take much for her to take one. Once she'd taken it the waiting game began. She played on her phone until the timer went off. She put her phone down and she peeked at the test. "Oh no." she muttered.
As much as Aria wanted to be a mother she knew that now wasn't the time and she wanted to be absolutely sure she could take the time off from work for not only the pregnancy but for the baby as well. She took a photo of the test and she hid the pregnancy test. She didn't want Ezra to see it yet. She made herself an appointment for that same day and she began getting ready. She wanted to have a doctor confirm it that way she knew what she needed to do. Before the getting sick started she'd had absolutely no symptoms so this was a bit scary. Once she'd made it in and she filled out whatever paperwork needed she sat back to wait. When her name was finally called she made her way to the back and she had a great chat with the nurse before her doctor came in. "Sorry doc. I wasn't going to come in. I'm not due for a few months but I need a confirmation."
Aria went on to explain about taking the pregnancy test and talking about the miscarriage she'd had a few years ago and why she was nervous and scared and she didn't want anyone to know just yet and that included Ezra. The doctor took a test and she had Aria wait. Aria made it clear she wasn't leaving without the results. Ezra called while she was in and thankfully she was alone. "Ezra I'll call you back. I have to take care of something." she paused. "Love you too." She hung up the phone just as the doctor came back with the results. "Aria you are indeed pregnant." Grabbing the table Aria let that sink in. There was a tiny life growing inside of her. She wasn't sure how to react. "Th--Thanks doc." she sat there for a bit longer before she was officially released. She headed home to figure out what to do now. One thing she knew was that no one could find out. She had just climbed back into bed when she got the confirmation text. Five weeks. "Wow.." she muttered to herself. "Five weeks.." she laid back and stared at the text wondering what she was going to do next.
