but I try to brush it off with a joke/weirdness to steer the conversation away from there like earlier:

Granny- You don't date? You don't have someone?

Me- No I don't. I have fish. Does that count for anything?

Granny- No. Why don't you?

Me- Because I'm too busy... thinking about fish?

Sister- and Tom Hiddleston.

Me- Sure. I don't date because fish and Tom Hiddleston clearly take up too much of my time. >______>

Granny- .____. wat?

Me- Best excuse I've got on short notice.

Sister- lol
