Well, it’s the end of an era!
Hello, followers and non-followers alike! Hello to anyone whose feed this may have crossed. I am the person behind this blog, and this is the last post I’ll be making (aside from any asks if they come up).
I started this blog in October of 2025, only a few days after I had turned eighteen. I initially got the idea after watching a graphic and gory short film, retreating to this show as a palate cleanser, and thinking how neat it would be if there was a tumblr blog archiving screenshots of Mii-kun and his friends that I could visit anytime. Since no one else looked to be doing it, I elected to make it a reality myself, and I’m so glad I did.
This blog hasn’t been popular by any means. I only have twenty followers. But just think about what that means! Twenty whole people have seen these goofy critters I shared and decided they want to see them on their feed every day!
Even without other people, this blog has been a huge comfort to me in my senior year of highschool. Having been homeschooled these past few years, the internet was one of the few ways I could interact with the outside world and other people. Between tests and quizzes and classes and speeches and a whole senior thesis paper, my life was unpredictable, and this blog was one of the few constants I could count on, something I knew I could always come back to. It was a commitment, almost a responsibility, but the kind that doesn’t offer consequences when you don’t quite meet up. The kind that waits patiently for you to come back and schedule a few more smiles. It was always such a joy when I would check back in here and get to work on gathering and queuing more screenshots.
By the time this is posted, I’ll have registered for classes in a liberal arts college this fall. It honestly makes me emotional thinking about it— this tiny space for these characters has not only given me smiles in hard times, but is also symbolic of a very big year for me. I actually got a little teary-eyed when I first started typing this up, and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
So this is my closing post for this blog. After considering how busy next year will be, I have decided I will not be continuing this blog with screenshots from the original webcomic. Life will change a lot and I won’t be able to afford the time it took to keep this running, even with my slip-ups.
With all that being said, I want to thank each and every one of you for stopping by. Every single like, every reblog, has meant more than you know. It’s been an encouragement: “Hey! Real people are out there, and you’re reaching them! Other people smile at the same things that make you smile! And you’ll find them once you’re out of here!”
So thanks again! I wish all of you luck! I can’t speak much on what each of you are experiencing in your own lives, but I can say that Mii-kun and friends will always be here should you need them!
みい〜みい〜みい〜ミイラ!
