I want someone at Marvel to explain why Daredevil Born Again gets (at least) three seasons despite being inferior in every way to the original series, and struggling in viewership every season.
And yet Wonder Man gets nominated for Emmys and that gets cancelled and no second season.
Leviticus (2026) dir. Adrian Chiarella and Feast While You Can by Mikaella Clements and Onjuli Datta are holding hands and skipping down a desolate road lined with the existential fear of demonic forces that enforce isolation by making you doubt and fear those around you. Leviticus (2026) dir. Adrian Chiarella and Closet Monster (2015) dir. Stephen Dunn are also making out with tongue and bonding over horror elements that externalize the feelings of internalized homophobia and fear of your own desires.
So I was going through my old high school notebooks and I found that I had brainstormed old man yaoi fanfic between Matsuda and Ono. The funny thing is that everyone else HATED that book in my class (it was mandatory reading) and I was just feasting on the old man yaoi. I am genuinely curious if anyone else has seen the romantic and/or homoerotic tension between the two??? Ono is essentially checking him out when they first meet (it's a confrontation in the rain mind you), they then engage in a life-long (creative) partnership, AND MATSUDA NEVER MARRIES?? Sadly, I lost my copy so I'm riding on what little I remember of their relationship, but yes.
nobody writes about denial better than Kazuo Ishiguro. I am terrified of what could have happened to this man irl to make him that fucking good at writing about such a thing.
It's come to the point where the only reason I'm looking forward to halloween season is to rewatch Widow's Bay
I love how the summary makes the book sound like a quirky slice of life romcom and not the chronicle of a 4-year-long mental health crisis it is.
i think more final girls should be forty and kind of weird and off-putting
I guess it's time to make my nest here
tumblr is the website for if you're just someone's weird sister
- Tell them what you are, son. Go on. This is great. - I'm a photographer. - No, not that! What's so great about that? The other thing!

Here is a monthly reading wrap-up that no one asked for 🥰
Pride month is off to a wonderful start. My friend and I binged a shitty gay vertical drama series and made bingo cards with whatever yaoi tropes we could think of #protectqueerart
Love character relationships that can only be described as "whatever the fuck these two have going on"
being a kid and hearing adults say stuff like "woah 2011 was 4 years ago haha" didn't really convey the fucking horror of a youtube video crossing my recommended labelled "9 years ago" and it's from 2017. that's not true. 9 years ago is 2010 or something. don't lie.
