Hey, beautiful. I’m here. Come here, give me a hug. Let me look at you. Are you feeling okay? Can I get you anything before we go? Tea, coffee, water, a sandwich...Anything?

MIKE ✉ AUDRA
Audra: You give so much more, Mike.
Audra: Thank you. So until we get out of here and beyond? Okay. I'll hold you to that. I do. Part of me wants to stay as far away from it as possible, but another part of me feels like that might be worse. We'll go with your plan.
Mike: You are...Far too good to me, Audra.
Mike: You...You want me...That? That with...Me? Go ahead, I'll come through every time. I understand. We don't know what it is. It makes sense to want to distance yourself. That's normal. If you're comfortable, we will. No matter what, I'll take care of you. When we get there, just...Stay behind me. No matter what.
MIKE ✉ AUDRA
Audra: You're too sweet- always such a gentleman.
Audra: Just stay with me. I feel safe when you're around. What do you think we should do about the boxes?
Mike: I only give what you deserve. You know that.
Mike: Of course I will. I wouldn't dream of being anywhere else. I'll stay with you for as long as you'd like. You do? I think...We should all go over and take a look. See if anyone knows anything, or has seen one before. Talk out our options, and go from there. What about you? Do you have any ideas?
MIKE ✉ AUDRA
Audra: Thank you. You know where my house is.
Audra: This is just /really/ creepy. It's like I'm in a horror movie. What even is this?
Mike: Nope, no 'thank you'. It's the least I can do. That I do, Ma'am.
Mike: I know. I wish I knew what was going on. What I could do to protect you better. I wish I had an answer, or something to make you feel better. But I can promise I'm going to do my absolute best to protect you from whatever I can.
MIKE ✉ AUDRA
Audra: /Mike./
Mike: I'm here, Audra. Stay where you are. I'm coming for you.
Mike: Talk to me gorgeous. How're you feeling?
MIKE ✉︎ AUDRA
Audra: As far as I'm concerned, you're my guardian angel, Mike Hanlon. You're so sweet, thank you. Offering to make me dinner and everything. I'd love some company, if you're the company we're talking about.
Mike: That's sweet of you to say, Audra, but really I just...Want to make sure you're alright. The only way to get through this is going to be together, I'm convinced. I don't mind, really. I'd love to fill that spot, then. I'll head over, with a few ingredients. Do you like chicken?
MIKE ✉︎ AUDRA
Audra: You're a charmer. Thank you, for this. I don't have anyone here, and despite the star life nobody here seems to be all that impressed with me being here.
Mike: Oh, thank you. It really is no problem. I'm sorry to hear that. If it helps anything, I wouldn't take it personally. I think everyone is just really scared. Even if they don't want to admit it. But, for what it's worth, I'm very starstruck. Have been since I first said 'hi' to you. Anyway, I know being alone isn't something any of us should be right now. If you'd like some company, I'd love to cook you dinner.
MIKE ✉︎ AUDRA
Mike: Hey there. Hi. Um...Hello. I just wanted to check on you, after everything that happened last night. I hope you're alright. At least, as alright as anyone can be.

Yes, I would agree there. If you do manage to find anything useful, please don’t hesitate to let me know. This feels too… strange for my tastes. I’ve also found myself looking around for these speakers that appear nowhere to be seen. And believe me, I’ve turned my house practically upside down. I suppose they at least made up for everything with this… festival thing. Are you planning on going?
No problem, I’ll keep you updated. This place is really something though. In some weird way it reminds me of home, a little. The town square, I mean. I’m not used to living in such close proximity to other people. But, I digress. Yes, the speakers are another mystery. It’s an interesting form of communication, I’ll give them that. I think I will, yes. Maybe with Bev, if she doesn’t already have plans. If it’s there, it’s worth checking out I think. And, Home Alone is such a classic. What about yourself?
Soooo... Home Alone and hot chocolate and stuff. Nice. But did anyone else not notice the roughly 50-60° temperature drop?

Glad to hear I’m not the only one wondering about that. It seems almost impossible. Almost. I’m thinking of heading to the bookstore myself. I want to see if there are any Farmer’s Almanacs or anything I can use to try and get a reference for if anything like this has happened before. Such a drastic temperature drop.Â
aaronmorgan:
Well, shit. That’s creepy as fuck. And also, that’s the last time I miss one of these parties. I think these people obviously have way too much time on their hands. I knew my neck was feeling a little sore, I guess now I know why. So, what, this is all just some big ass scare tactic? Prank gone too far? I’m gonna need Ashton Kutcher to get himself out here so I can beat his ass. But anyway, I’m not worried. Right now, they’re all bark. It says a lot they resorted to knocking us out before dragging us out here. Anyway, I’m Aaron. How was the food?
That it is, and that’s probably a good idea. I don’t know that I can say I think it’s either of those, unfortunately. This all feels too elaborate, you know? It’s obvious this has been planned, that it has been in the works for...Some time. They have been, you’re right about that. I just hope they intend to keep it that way. Nice to meet you, Aaron. I’m Mike. The food was actually good, what we were able to eat of it before those lead bricks were dropped into our stomachs. How’ve you been getting along?
What the hell did I miss? What's got Anderson all shaken up on the dash?
aaronmorgan:

The truth of the matter is, you probably don’t want to know. But, since you were involved I’ll tell you. Things...Took a hard left at the Get to know You party. They showed a...Film? It was...There were clips of all of us. When we didn’t know we were being filmed. Eating. Working. Bathing. At the gym. At school. Wherever you’ve been, they’ve got film of it. And...They showed how we were taken. Some...Coward dressed in black. Couldn’t see their face. They injected us all with...Something. Strong shit, whatever it was. It seems there’s a reason these people know more about us than even we do. It seems we’ve been....Watched for some time.Â
theaudraphillips:
It doesn’t look like we’ve got much of a choice, if you ask me. I’d rather spend this time making sure that I’m always camera ready than worrying about something I can’t change. If something happens to tell me that I need to be afraid, I will, but until then… I mean, look what I found in my closet. With a setup this pristine, all I can think is reality tv. So where’d you come from?
You’re right about that. Still, I don’t see the harm in trying to figure things out a bit more, either way. Well, you go ahead and do just that. No problem with that whatsoever. That’s a thought. It would be interesting. I’m not sure how I’d wind up on something like that. I don’t remember applying, and truthfully I’m not sure I would have. Maybe it was a secret thing. Something we didn’t realize we were applying for. Me? Oh, I came from a tiny town in Maine. Derry, actually. You’re from England if I’m not mistaken, right?
theaudraphillips:
Whatever, I guess. Looks like I’m digging into this glorious wardrobe of mine to get ready for a party. This place is still suspicious af, innit, but I don’t have anything better to do and this could still be a reality tv show. Get to know me then, indeed.Â
That’s one way to look at things, sure. Staying positive is about the best chance any of us have, if you ask me. My name is Mike, Mike Hanlon. Pleased to meet you, Ms. Phillips. I’m slightly concerned with what this party might entail, but the Welcome Party turned out pretty okay, so maybe this one will too.Â

Taking a deep breath, Zoie made her way cautiously towards the front door. Things had been so strange since waking up, truth be told she was still processing everything. Naturally, she’d panicked at first, though having pushed through that, she was beginning to think more logically. She’d taken the time to walk through the house she’d woken up in, she’d read and re-read the “Welcome Letter”, she’d examined everything she could think to. Aside from having woken up here, everything seemed to be normal. Zoie was grateful to have learned that she was not the only one here, though in a way that fact only heightened the curiosity of the situation. While she’d come across two celebrities, the other person, Aaron, wasn’t someone she recognized. Gathering her courage, Zoie opened the front door. Poking her head out, she looked cautiously around before stepping slowly out. Wrapping her arms around herself, she made her way down the porch steps and out into the street. Looking around, she spotted a group beginning to form. Making her way over, she lifted her hand, nodding as she began to speak. “Hey, uh- I’m Zoie. I think I’ve talked to a couple of you on the social media…Thing. Anyway. We’ve all ended up in a pretty strange situation here. From what I can tell none of us knows what the fuck any of this is supposed to mean so…I think the best place to start is with introductions. That way we can get an idea of who everyone is, and see if we can’t start narrowing this thing down. So, like I said, I’m Zoie Beiste. I’m a Sex Therapist from Lima, Ohio. And the last thing I remember was going to a meeting regarding a potential position at a residential therapy center. What about you guys?”Â

Mike had been one of the first out in the street, having taken a bit of time to examine his home, though not quite as much time as some of the others. In his mind, searching the houses didn’t make much sense- after all, it was clear that whomever had orchestrated this had done so for a reason. If the perpetrator wanted any of them hurt, they would have been. If they were going to do something dangerous, or rig the houses in any way, there wouldn’t have been a point in making them so finely detailed. Seeing Beverly lightened his heart by what felt like a ton. He made his way over to her, slipping his hand into hers and giving a reassuring squeeze as he listened to the others speaking. Zoie. Blaine. Aaron. Committing each face and name to memory, Mike followed the conversations until it was his turn to speak. “Good to meet you all, even under the circumstances. My name is Mike Hanlon, I’m a Librarian from Derry, Maine. The last thing I remember was receiving an email to attend an urgent meeting of the inter-library board. I arrived at the meeting spot, but that’s about all I’ve got.” Pausing, he considered saying more, but decided to let things rest for the time being. He wasn’t entirely sure he trusted much of anything at the moment, and he didn’t intend to share all of his thoughts with anyone but Bev.Â
snarkysebastard:
So that’s what’s caught your attention right now? Interesting. I’ve been wandering around since I woke up. The map seems to be accurate. That’s okay though. I have to pull a Malfoy, but when my father figures out I’m missing there will be a search party.Â
Well no, it isn’t the only thing. But, it was what caught my eye first within your reply. So you’ve been outside? The map is accurate? Wow. That’s...Strange. Not that, again, this whole thing isn’t strange. Pull it all you want, I hope that’s the case. I’m Mike Hanlon, by the way. There seems to be a group forming outside, that’s where I’m headed now. Maybe I’ll see you there.
snarkysebastard:
What a hilarious prank. Now I’m leaving. I’ll thank you for making sure the thread count wasn’t so low that I broke out into hives, but this is a little too Silence Of The Lambs for me. I wish I could say it’s been fun– goodbye.Â
There’s a lot going on here, and while some may find this odd, I’m going to start with- I wasn’t aware it was possible to break out in hives over thread counts. You learn something new every day, I guess. But, I second that motion. Something is definitely...Not right, here. Have you done any looking around?Â
