Rather than being afraid of it this time, she seems to have found peace and beauty in the inevitable end. The first verse of the song describes heaven, and the second verse describes hell, similar to Bosch's painting which is sectioned by life, hell & heaven. In the hell section of the painting music is shown as an evil entity that leads to the damning of the human race. Given the song's inspiration of the painting The Garden of Earthly Delights by Bosch, this line [I'm eaten alive by the mouth of a monster] may be paying homage to Goya's Saturn Devouring his Son. ‘Give me love’ explores the path to sin, thematically tying to Saturn Devouring his Son which is commonly interpreted as a depiction of the wrath of god. This compliments the ending verse, in which Cyrus depicts a fall from eden [x, x, gifset insp by x @dengswei].”
