Happy pride month!!! This post is a little later than I intended it to be, but I couldn’t find texts that satisfied me. I threw this together in like 10-15 minutes, so enjoy!
I’m back to celebrate the class of 2026!! 🥳🥳🥳 And what better way to deal with all the complicated feelings of graduation than to draw your fav going through the same thing? It’s been…a year, but we did it!! Also I'm not tagging this because I’m lazy today, but I’ll be tagging future posts.
Phew, I realize how long it’s been since I last posted. So I decided to return with a drawing of my favorite character as my favorite character. The Demon Slayer movie has been on my mind for months now, and I tried to help myself out a little by drawing Dexter as my favorite KNY character, Shinobu. This is how my brain feels whenever I try to think of new things to write or draw 😭
Anyways, hello! This is another post to just signify that I am still around. I’ve just been very busy, so I haven’t had much time to think of new and creative things to post. This idea actually came to me as I was trying to sleep. I won’t lie and say this is my sign that I’m going to start consistently posting again. This is just for me to say that even though I don’t post much, I do check Tumblr a couple times a day, so I am still around!
"You didn't have a better idea for the title?" No, unfortunately. I've been lacking in creativity and motivation lately, so everything is rusty, especially my writing. Forgive me for any grammatical mistakes! This story will also be very short because it was just a random idea I came up with. Another random bit no one asked for, but it bothers me a little that I indent while I write and it's gone the moment I post. Oh well! Happy holidays! Stay safe and stay warm!
Dexter lowered his head, burying his face further into the thick scarf wrapped around his neck. He should've never agreed to go outside, but he loved Ben too dearly to deny when his boyfriend seemed so excited to show him something.
Ben turned his head to look at him and almost immediately could read the scientist's mood. He gave Dexter's glove-clad hand a squeeze, reassuring, "It's not too far now. Don't worry."
Dexter simply grumbled in response. His face felt a little stiff from the cold. He could already imagine how nice it would be to go back home and sit by the fire with Einstein in his lap. At the thought, he tried to sink even further into the scarf.
The two turned the corner, but only got a few more steps in before Ben gently grabbed Dexter's shoulders and turned him to face him. He looked the shorter man in the eyes and suddenly said, "Give me your glasses."
Dexter blinked rapidly a few times, his brain failing to process those words, "Huh?"
"Your glasses," Ben repeated, holding out a hand. "I want this to be a surprise."
Dexter made a thoughtful noise. Had it been anyone else, he would've immediately declined. His glasses were too important.
But this was Ben, who was also very important to the scientist.
Finally, Dexter relented and took off his glasses, placing them in his boyfriend's palm, knowing that he wouldn't allow anything to happen to them. He let out a little grunt of surprise when hands suddenly covered his eyes.
Ben walked behind Dexter, keeping his hands over his eyes as he murmured gentle instructions to avoid having the smaller man trip and fall. He led them beneath a portico in front of a random building, making sure the scientist was facing forward before giving his glasses back. "Now look," he softly said.
Dexter kept his head down as he put back on his glasses, though he had to squint once he raised his head again, blinded by lights of many colors. He blinked a few times to let his eyes adjust and finally got a good look at what was in front of him. His eyes widened slightly.
Across the street, between the front of two buildings, stood a massive tree, covered in lights and decorations. No ornament was the same as another, and no two strands of lights had the same color or pattern. It was clearly an effort from many people around the city. It was different. It was very beautiful.
Ben stood beside Dexter, his hands on his shoulders, an affectionate smile on his face as he watched his boyfriend just stare in awe. He couldn't blame him. He was quite surprised when he saw it at first too.
He gave Dexter some time to take it all in, then gently nudged him.
It took Dexter a second to register the nudge, but once he did, he looked at him, his eyes following the hero's finger when it pointed upwards. There, hanging not too far above them, was a mistletoe. Smooth, Mr. Tennyson, he thought. Real smooth.
Ben chuckled when he noticed the look on the scientist's face. He turned them both to face each other, hooking a finger around the front of Dexter's scarf to tug it down so that he could see all of his face.
"How romantic," Dexter said, almost sarcastic, but his voice held an undeniable fondness.
"Very," Ben teasingly agreed. He took a quick look around to make sure nobody was looking, then leaned in to press his lips against his boyfriend's softly and sweetly, Dexter meeting him halfway.
At that moment, the biting coldness of the air didn't seem quite as bothersome. After all, they were both right where they wanted to be.

I am mohammed ayyad of Gazans, living in very difficult conditions because of the war that the Gaza Strip is under. Since the outbreak of the war on the seventh of October we have been evacuating .
Then the journey of suffering and separation began,because my children were separated and evacuated from our home without covering or clothes., From here they became infected with diseases, and what increased our fatigue was the constant upbringing due to the different areas in which we were displaced, as we were displaced 9 times, and this was very expensive, the last of which was the 9th of this August from Hamad Town. In addition to that, we have lived in the summer season in a tent that did not exceed three meters, closed with nylon, so it is like an agricultural greenhouse atmosphere. It is very hot. All in all, we live difficult days that no human beings can afford
We have no work because of the war, and we do not have any kind of money and this is accompanied by a crazy and horrible rise in prices.
Although water is not suitable for drinking, this is the cause of many diseases
The last suffering is that we are out of Hamad without taking our purposes or our tents and now we are searching the earth in the roads and our children and our elderly parents are suffering..So we use direct donation including what they can or share links fully so people can know our tragedy and pain. Anyways, I am alive! I’ve just been having a hard time finding motivation or ideas on writing. The ideas that I have had don’t stick with me much, but I think I have something in mind that I might write for Christmas. We’ll see!
We have entered the winter season and unfortunately we are without shelter, bedding and clothes. Please help me save my children and my six-month-old baby daughter who needs diapers, milk and clothes.
My family is still staying in half of the church that wasn’t affected by the bombing because there is nowhere else to stay other than tents. They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. Even when there is no bombing, they can still hear the loud buzzing sound of the military planes above them, which would keep anyone who hears it awake. Along with everything, My grandma has diabetes and osteoporosis, so she can’t walk. She has to take her insulin medication along with many others; however, she has run out of many of her medications.” Am on my knees requesting for donation. Target $450
