Final Presentation
For the final presentation we'll be having 2 of our best speakers, Andrea and Viona (hehe). For this we'll be taking some inspiration from the first pitch but also put some new twists on it!
Behind the scenes we've also been working hard to update all the documentation so that everything is neat and ready to get delivered!

One of the most important things on any website is its longevity, we want our users to enjoy our website as much as we do by adding a score of their current and lifetime points!
Users can now see how many points they have currently in their bank and also see the Lifetime points they've earned. Simply great!

The achievements a user earns can be found here, as of now we have a few different achievements, but the achievement system does not work yet. The user can scroll down and look at the sick achievements!
Its very intresting working on the big screen, because it makes you more involved in the process! Here you can see Nikita happily sketching away a concept for the Quest page.
We just got our weekly feedback from Josh and he smartly pointed out something, something we totally missed before. Our experiences tab!
It looks too much like a news tab right now and that is not what we are going for. So we updated it showing the individual tasks and added a timer to how long the experience will last. This way we're sure no one will mistake it for the news tab!
Now users can sign up for the website and sign in as well. This is done with a mysql database and PHP. When the user logs in it also checks if they are already logged in and reloads their session. This way you don't have to log in all the time!

Working together and helping eachother is the most crucial part in a group and when you're working in a team. What one person lacks another can help them with. As we started working more on the coding part of the project, this was held heavily.
Coding
This month we really have made some progress on the coding of the website. Because we made our design quite extensive the coding was a bit more difficult for some of us. During this we helped eachother on discord and on location with this. The pages that are done are:

Login & Signup page
For the Login and Singup we also used PHP and mySQL to let users log in and keep their account. We did this with a database. We also made sessions so that when a user logs in and refreshes the page they don't get logged out immediately.
Plans for December
This december the deadline is nearing quite fast, in almost 10 days already! So this month we're going to make the Experiences page and put everything together and host it on Hera. The points system will also be added. So there's still alot to do but we're excited and determined to get it all done!
Pitches, designing, coding and more! October has passed and Minerva Design has been busy.

For me reaching getting faced by a challenge is not something bad, but instead an opportunity to learn being put in front of us. So when we found out we needed to create a fully working and flow prototype, multiple pages and also test it mutliple times in a few days, We were pretty stunned.
Prototypes
When we made the first prototype, we were focusing more on the workflow of the website to make sure the layout is comprehensible for our users instead of the design itself. Our talented UX designer, Andrea made the fully working website prototype. Which can be found here. With this we we're going to test our concept and website flow. This prototype can be found here.
After the first prototype we still didn't have a fully realized design yet for our website. For this we sent our best designers, Nikita and Viona into the field. We're currently still working on this renewed design of the website and the mockups, but it is turning out to look very promisable.
Pitch
For this sprint we had to make the final pitch, of course this was very nerve wrecking at first but this is why we worked so hard on it! For this pitch we wanted to make sure the audience would be captivated and also persuaded to use our product. This is why we proof of concept in the form of plushies, clothing and snacks!

Plans for November
For the next month in november, we are starting to make the base code for the website. For this we sat down to divide and define the task to put into our Minerva Design trello for Crunchyroll Beyond.
In November we will also be continuing and finishing the new Design for what Crunchyroll Beyond will look like.
Minerva Design will also be working on the Visual Novel, which is an important part of our website. The Visual Novel will be made in two parts, one will be about the base 'game' and the other part will be about the Script and flow of the Dialogue.

Hi! I’m Viona a Lead Designer at Minerva Design working on Crunchyroll Beyond. I’m currently designing the premium page for the website. I'm going to take you through my design process!
I’ve already designed the landing and the perks part of the page, but still need to make the premium prices & options part of the page. We will be doing that in this post.
The first thing I do is see what kind of content needs to be displayed. So for this we’re looking at Crunchyroll’s premium page to see what kind of subscriptions they offer. This way I know what I need to work with from the start so that I don’t have to add/change things later in the process.
So first thing I notice is the different icons, they all have 14 days of free trial and different names. I will have to include these as well. There are two subscriptions from which you can choose, from which one has a one month version or a 12 month version. This could be turned in either 2 blocks or keep it at three. Let’s add the blocks to our figma page right now.
I’ve added a short explanation using the fonts of our brand guide.
For now we're working on just one of the panels, as they resemble eachother apart from some text. So first I add text and a background colour. For this I wanted to compliment the dark background with a bright orange/yellow colour. This is to keep on brand with our brand guide.
Now that we have it looking like this. I go to look for design inspiration. I do this by trial and error and looking online. Here are some examples I found for good Premium subscription designs!
Now I'm going to make the rest of the block. Usually I stress over minor details in this xD. Here I am making a button to see what would fit best. Here are all the designs I tried before coming to the last one(the final button.)
I wanted the button to pop out between all the other yellow elements on the page so desided to add some of Crunchyroll's iconic blue into the design.
Let's get back to the full block. To add a crunchyroll 'twitst' on the premium choices I aded Hime-chan in various different anime art styles. Signifying the different premium levels. Now all that is left is aligning and making the other two panels and we're done! The full design of the premium page can be found here.

When Making Crunchyroll Beyond there are a few things that we want to be able to provide. These are the goals that Minerva Design wants to reach and the Motivations. We are working together with Liquid plus which is an added bonus for motivation!

We want to reward the already existing Crunchyroll fans by making a fan loyatly system. Here they can earn achievements and keep track of how much of a fan they really are. Aside from that we are also welcoming new fans to the Crunchyroll family! To do this we are sharing more on social media and making this program seem nice for anime fans.
Lastly we have the anime's, games and more. Crunchyroll has alot of these other platforms but doesn't do much with them. So our last goal is to make Crunchyroll a stronger brand by not only marketing these games, events and anime but by providing a strong connection with them and their audience.
