Daycation
Mira plopped her helmet over her head and tugged on her gloves. “Let’s get to da choppa!” she said, muffled as it was. She had upgraded her bike to a slick two-seater bobber, satin black and red trimming to boot. The engine was like a monster as it roared to a start – you know, just something to get her from A to B. Typical ride for a mom.
Once seated, she patted the small seat behind her, gesturing Ulric to hop on.
“Predator, really?” Grinning, Ulric quickly seats himself on the back of the bike, leaning into Mira briefly for balance before he’s settled. “Ready to go, Star.”
Raising his voice to make sure she can hear him, by now he’s holding onto Mira while waiting for the bike to start.
Mira lifted the shield of her helmet and teasingly stuck her tongue out at Ulric. “Yes, really,” she laughed.
Once he was settled, she revved the bike up and gave it some gas. It lurched forward and off they zoomed. The exhaust made a throaty growl and got louder and louder until they were out on the main road. It never got old - the thrill of it all, being on two wheels, the wind whipping by and the asphalt below. It was wonderful, especially being out on the road with her man.
As soon as the bike starts moving, Ulric holds on tighter to begin with; felt like he’d keep up with that reaction at least initially. Once he’s used to the speed again, though, he’s not holding onto Mira quite as hard.
This wasn’t too different than being on his ‘board, at least to his hearing.
Once she leveled out her speed, things just seemed so tranquil. It was always like that, especially when leaving the city and entering the lush green forests of Metro City’s outskirts. Things got a little quieter and the traffic wasn’t jammed – unlike the other side of the freeway coming into the city.
She teasingly wiggled her ass against Ulric and muffled a giggle beneath her helmet, taking an off ramp and looking for a good spot to stop.
