/Furrowing her eyebrows in a confused look, she looked down in hopes of hiding her disappointment at the statement. She nodded, eyeing him curiously, her eyes searching for any sign or break of what he really wanted to as. Clearing her throat, she placed back her stoic mask and brought her blanket up to her chin.
Yeah. I ah… I’ll see you soon, Mercer.
/without thinking, Lukas leaned down, his lips brushing her cheek, just close the corner of her lips, murmuring comfort words.

/A few seconds passed when he straightened up, the surprised look at his own actions didn't show, instead it was placed with his trademark smirk, although it was weaker than usual.

/With that, he turned on his heel and walked out the door, closing it behind him with a click.

/Hearing his tone, she sighed. She couldn’t help herself after all. So she turned on her other side to face him, hoping her blush was gone. Raising an eyebrow at his expression, she dropped her irritated one, her face curious as her eyes searched his face.

It was an easy enough question. But somehow he couldn't bring himself to ask. He could have asked a lot of other things, but none of them compared to wanting to know what brought them to this state. Cursing himself silently, he thought he was being utterly stupid.Â

/Cutting herself off, Layna widened her eyes as his hand moved up. She opened her mouth to curse him out, yet he had already pulled it away. Feeling the heat rush to her cheeks, she crossed her legs and gave him a slight glare before huffing.Â

/With that, she laid on her side, facing away from him and pulled the sheets up, nodding in agreement and kicked at his leg.

/If Lukas ever noticed the flush of Layna's cheeks, he chose to ignore instead of jokingly poke on the subject. He couldn't help feel disappointed, as his expression fell flat when she turned away without another word. Picking up his discarded shirt, he placed it hastily folded on his lap when he pipped up once again, his tone somber, his peering eyes as if seeking her own.

It really would. Two is better than one anyways. So are you accepting my offer, babe?

/With a huff, Layna hid her shiver by shifting in the cot and rested her back against the headboard. She narrowed her eyes at Lukas, her lower lip jutting out stubbornly in defeat. With a roll of her eyes, she shook her head, holding up her head pridefully.Â
If I wasn’t so tired I’d get one of my replicated to kick your ass for me. But fine. You’re not going to put on your shirt or leave anyways. I’m not a tightass, I’m just strict-shut up, Lukas.
/It was as if in one second, everything was tense and gone the next. Lukas' hand was still resting atop her leg, caressingly sliding up to her thigh before he abruptly pulled it away and went on to jeer

/She blinked once he leaned closer and struggled from his grip. His tugging jerked her forward and she huffed, rolling her eyes. Sliding her hands down to his, she started to pry off his hands from her leg, raising an eyebrow as well.

/Lukas made a tut-tut sound, as if to scold, but the smile he had showed just how amused he was, slowly leaning even close, his hand now pinning her leg down

/Swatting his shirt away, Layna groaned in annoyance. With a scowl, she attempted to kick at his face, huffing in indignation. She leaned over and flicked his head, brushing back her hair from her face.

/He held on her ankles tight, keeping her from kicking him- that would be unfortunate-. He tugged at her leg as he sat up, pulling himself closer just as she leaned over, attempted to avoid her flicking and raised an eyebrow

/With an annoyed look, Layna glared half-heartedly at Lukas and crossed her arms. Digging her heel into his hip less-than-gently, she shook her head, trying not to let her expression give anything away. Bending over, she picked up his shirt and threw it at his face.

/He ignored the shirt and toss it back in her direct. In almost an instant, Lukas took hold of her ankle, hugging it close to his chest and laughed the tension off

/Once he removed his shirt, she widened her eyes at him and scowled, narrowing her eyes. She kept her gaze longer than necessary yet immediately snapped out of it, giving him a disapproving look. With a scoff, she extended her legs, resting her ankles on him with an impish look.

/Lukas crossed his arms together beneath his head, titling slightly just so he could look at Layna, letting her ankles rest on his hip. He ignored her comment and chose to press on, a pleased smirk curling from the corners of his mouth that he got her attention

/She scoffed and narrowed her eyes as she took a swig. Glancing to his hand, she looked back at him and rolled her eyes.
I haven’t been able to sleep all night-no. Keep your clothes on. It’s fine I don’t want to see what’s hardly there, pencil dick.
/He followed her eyes, wishing he knew what she was thinking- or maybe he did have an idea. Then he scoffed, pulling his shirt over his head before he lied on his back just by her feet, ready to ignore her protests

/She raised an eyebrow and nodded in approval at his distance. Taking another swig, she yawned and rubbed her eyes from the lack of sleep. When he spoke, she gave him an amused smirk and nodded. Running a hand through her hair, she sat up straighter and brought her knees to her chest, a teasing tone in her voice.

/With a huff of his breath after he took another swig, Lukas bumped her knee with his hand and spread his arms with a light chuckle

/Hesitantly, Lukas took the offer and sat down obligingly a few good distance away from Layna, as if it was showing this was a harmless visit, or so he thinks. He took a swig of his own beer, before he gestured to himself.
