Presumably the Last
When we ran this blog we were triggered constantly. We felt tiny and powerless and like we had been damaged irreparably. It felt like there could be no happiness for us with the way the world treats survivors. That if we ever wanted safety for us or others like us nobody but us or any others like us we had to seek out anyone who would hurt children ourselves. That we were responsible for fixing it all.Â
I donât regret any of these posts. I hope to god they did something. That someone was protected. That some of them were isolated from children.
But I canât keep living in that. I canât ever know for sure that I and everyone I know or anyone I donât know is safe from people like this. I have to live anyway and be there to support and heal if the worst does happen. I need to be able to live.Â
I donât know if anyone will even read this but if you do and youâre here because you too feel it is your responsibility to save everyone, please take a moment to breathe. Please care for yourself. Please donât burn yourself alive to smoke abusers out.Â
