also!!! I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet lately. family was visiting all last week, and I unexpectedly got a new job this week. I only work like 4 hours but literally everything about this is new to me and it’s physically & emotionally exhausting, so I haven’t had muse for anything. hopefully I’ll get used to it soon though, and in the meantime I’ll try to lurk on here more!

ROLEPLAYING REMINDERS. --

a LOT of the time, I see a literally everyone exhausting themselves to write. they lose sleep, they turn in assignments late, or just genuinely aren’t taking care of themselves. you’re doing GREAT, but here are a few reminders that EVERY roleplayer should know ;;

please please take a break. every few minutes after you do a few replies ( ESPECIALLY long ones dear lordy ) don’t be afraid to stop and take a break for a bit. letting your mind REST helps it not wear out so easily, so not only can you get more done, you can also not exhaust yourself !!

water is great and you probably need some. go get yourself a glass!!

whatever is going on ooc where no one can see behind that screen, don’t ever feel bad. real life is supposed to come first no matter what. the roleplayers that genuinely understand are the ones you wanna keep close!! don’t let ANYONE make you feel bad

do not feel guilty about late replies

seriously. don’t.

that person that plays the same muse as you ??? they might be super duper wonderful, but so are YOU!! different portrayals are what make roleplaying unique. don’t compare yourself to others. instead, embrace the individuality!!

and finally, remember that this is for FUN. if anything is ever stressing you out chances are you shouldn’t be doing it, so be sure not to put too much pressure on yourself. this is a HOBBY, not an OBLIGATION.

i am a shy roleplayer. messaging people first doesn’t come easy to me. i go to send someone a message and then my mind goes a million miles an hour; what if they don’t like my writing, what if they don’t even know who my muse is, what if they don’t like the fandom, what if they’re roleplaying with someone who roleplays the same muse, *rereads the rules 10000s times but still gets paranoid im brekaing a rule*, what if they aren’t following me, are the mutuals only, what if they don’t like the plot i have in mind. and basically it fills me with so much nervousness and fear i just back away and continue to watch from afar. this doesn’t mean i never message first, when i’m confident the person likes my writing style/blog i find approaching them a little bit easier. this isn’t anything personal or me trying to be superior in any way. i am shy, have low confidence, and am very unsure of myself and my writing. if i follow you and never message you, i’m sorry, i truly am. but i adore each and every one of you and love to see you all. if i had it my way i would speak and roleplay to all of you. i hope you all can understand and forgive my unhealthy way of thinking (✿◠‿◠)
