Founded by lead vocalist Mario Giancarlo Garibaldi and guitarist Jorge Velásquez and later joined by Alex De Renzis on drums, the band got its name as a reference to citizens that lived in the Alps trying to unite Italy in the 1800s. Cacciatori delle Alpi is the Italian name.
Jorge had made waves in the Latin Alternative music scene playing in numerous bands while Mario had for been forging his way with his indie rock project Modernage, but the desire to break away and have more creative freedom ultimately spawned Hunters of the Alps.
Having played festivals like III Points, Transatlantic Festival and House of Creatives and with a debut EP on the horizon, Hunters of the Alps is not one to sleep on.

Felix Da Housecat shares Dave the Hustler's "Queer" Remix
Felix Da Housecat and Dave the Hustler are about to release the remix for the track “Queer (Feat. Romina Cohn)” on Nest HQ. “Queer” comes from Felix Da Housecat’s brand new album Narrative Of Thee Blast Illusion, which represents Felix in his element and at his most nuanced, showcasing an ever-evolving sonic palate while retaining the inimitable groove throughout.
Nest HQ had this to say about the remix:
“His remix of “Queer” gives the original a much darker ambiance with its towering, low-fi topline synth and gritty bassline. Aptly so, since the lyrics and storyline are more grim than a petrified forest.”
Just last week, Felix released a music video for the original version of the “Queer”, which you can watch here.
Check out the artwork below, pick up your digital copy of Narrative Of Thee Blast Illusion on iTunes and be sure to read the whole premier over at Nest HQ, at this link.
