Normal things. Accept the nature
Remember SOPs: The fact that trans women currently can’t experience this doesn’t make them men or even any less than cis women, it means we don’t have the privilege to experience this essential part of womanhood and you better believe the dysphoria hurts like shit.
Womb transplants becoming available will both fix a massive misfortune and unite trans and cis women closer together.
Are u calling periods a privilege and also are you implying womb transplant can work without painfully killing anyone trying it? You’re in for a bad surprise
Also how do you see this post that isn’t about you and manage to spin it like that I’m.
Well if you don’t think it is then you may as well go get a hysterectomy.
Also, feel free to dig into scientific articles where you’ll find womb transplants have been successfully done many times and are now being advocated for trans women.
The post is about periods, but even if not all females have periods, periods are a female subject so..
I will not have a hysterectomy because doing so could significantly shorten my lifespan, since the uterus isn’t just a baby making machine, it balances all hormones in my body - which is also why it is going to be a problem if it is transplanted on someone who didn’t have one
Periods aren’t a privilege, they just are - they’re a pain a lot of the time but that would be because of the sexism that limits access to menstruation healthcare and silences women’s pain. I’ll advocate for periods to be normalized, not try to have a hysterectomy
I’m talking about removing the uterus alone, not the ovaries with it
It doesn’t change anything, and I’m not sure this is the central point of what we’re talking about?
Yes it does, removing the uterus alone does little impact to lifespan, only by removing ovaries with it is your hormonal balance interfered.
But still, why would I alter my own body instead of the stigma around it?
unless you have a higher risk of reproductive cancer, removing your uterus will indeed shorten your lifespan.
BTW, telling teenage girls online to undergo elective removal of a functional organ in their body, expose themselves to increased risk of bladder, bowel, and vaginal prolapse, all because she doesn’t want to face sex-based oppression is some serious bullshit. Do you tell men with erectile dysfunction that if their dicks make them so sad they should cut them off?
Of course you fucking don’t.
Having a hysterectomy without replacement hormones increases your risk of early onset dementia, and replacement hormones are not as good as the real thing. Having both a hysterectomy and an oophorectomy is worse, but having a hysterectomy alone does not come without complications. Also, your bladder and vagina can prolapse, and you can lose sexual function. Nobody should be getting a hysterectomy unless they need one.
Anyway, periods are not a privilege. They are our bodies’ shitty attempt to protect us from pregnancy (because pregnancy and childbirth do have the potential to shorten our lifespans by quite a bit). It’s imperfect, with a high failure rate, and is uncomfortable at best and can be life-threatening at worst. Men, having no ability to get pregnant, nor having any expectation to do so, nor experiencing any shaming for having no ability to do so, are therefore not underprivileged by not having a bodily function that limits how often it can happen.
And no, “successfully” implanting a uterus from one woman into another woman long enough for her to carry a pregnancy to term and then have to have the uterus removed again is absolutely not proof of TIMs’ possibility of getting the same. Even if they didn’t die painfully, it’s attached to nothing so it would simply fall out. It wouldn’t make endometrium, nor be attached to ovaries so there would be no eggs to flush and no lining to shed. And no ability to contract. Therefore no period. If an embryo were implanted and the uterus didn’t fall out, the man’s organs would be squished because men’s bodies don’t know to move organs around for an expanding uterus. Men will never menstruate, will never get pregnant, and will never give birth. Mother Nature is a “TERF”.
Seriously, fuck TRAs, this is not about trans “women” it is specifically ABOUT PERIODS, something only WOMEN (you call us “uterus-havers” or “menstruators” ring a misogynistic bell?) have, so shut the FUCK up about mentally ill MALES who will NEVER fucking have a goddamned period! And fucking fuck you fucker, periods keep girls from getting proper education all over the world, periods send girls to lonely miserable deaths in menstrual huts, periods can be mind-numbingly painful, periods can be DEBILITATING, periods carry the stigma of being “unclean” which hurts women’s status, periods are taboo and that taboo/stigma HURTS WOMEN. So pardon me if I want to just bite your entitled prick of a head off right now when you fucking call a period a “privilege” that trans id men want to fetishize. Go. Fuck. Yourself. @miss-bunny-bitch You have no idea!
@miss-bunny-bitch If trans women weren’t dumbass men, then you’d know a uterus transplant will not give you a period since you need to ovulate for that to happen (also, that implanting a uterus in men will never be viable.) I also appreciate the irony of trans women gaslighting real women about how our bodies don’t make us women, yet immediately drooling at the prospect of getting said irrelevant organs transplanted in them/ crudely approximated via surgery.
We don't need those parts to be women, we need them to treat gender dysphoria, know the difference, read my other post for the answers to the rest of your bullcrap.
