Surprising News [Flora & Fauna]
At the sound of her front door being used and her knowing for a fact there was no one she expected, Flora had grabbed a glittering shoe to protect herself from an assailant before she heard the familiar voice of her sister. Dropping her assumed weapon, she pressed her hand over her heart and stepped out into the living room - glaring at her sister, "Fauna, you gave me a fright! Could you have called beforehand? I could have hurt you just now.”
Her eyes fell on the treats in her sister’s hands and she smiled brightly, “oh? News? With the offering, I can only assume it’s good. Have you adopted another animal?”
Flora was already soothed by her offerings. And in a good mood. It helped eased Fauna’s nerves. It was quite a huge feat to tell her sister that the “neanderthal” she’s dating has knocked her up. She just had to make sure that her sister was in the best mood possible for this.
“I didn’t mean to scare you. I just decided to drop by. We could use some sister time.” She wandered over to retrieve glasses for their wine. Once it was poured, Fauna patted the spot next to her on the couch. “It is very good news. I think you’ll be very excited.”
