Very classy way to slap SBS in the face. “We don’t need your money, we’re only doing this out of loyalty and for the fans.” You gotta love them, but it still hurts me they get this treatment from shitty SBS. In light of recent news, I came back to trash talk SBS. I haven’t watched or paid attention to news about RM in ages; when I heard about this, I couldn’t keep my mouth shut. Let’s get one thing straight. All of the Korean broadcasting networks are super shady (not to say that networks all over the globe aren’t shady as well). They will do anything, and I mean ANYTHING, to get money. They’ll let themselves be controlled by entertainment companies and get into deep dirty shit with celebrities for that same reason. Even someone like Jaesuk has gotten betrayed so many times by these same networks. The worst part of it all is that they treat celebrities like pawns. I already expected SBS to pull something of this nature. You can tell how desperate they are for ratings since RM has been coming in last place almost every week these past few years. The thing is, I never expected it to be Jongkook and Jihyo. For fuck’s sake, Jihyo is like a cash cow for SBS (I mean cash cow as in a very profitable celebrity to attach themselves to, not a derogatory term). She is arguably the most popular RM member overseas. Same goes for Jongkook. We all know how much promotion he’s done in China. It just seems so stupid, business wise, that SBS chose to kick them off. I honestly expected Sukjin to be the one kicked off if it ever came to it, no offense. Even so, I’m actually glad Jihyo kicked off RM. I’ve been wanting for Jihyo to leave the show so she could focus on her career. I definitely didn’t want it to happen this way though. As long as Jihyo attaches her name to RM, she will never be able to establish herself as an actress. She definitely has some room for improvement as an actress. If she truly treasures her craft, she will take advantage of this time to improve herself. I honestly hope she does because it’s makes me sad to see Jihyo only be known for her beauty and for RM rather than her acting abilities. As for Jongkook, I am pissed. He has risked his health repeatedly for the sake of this show. What kind of human being would think that it’s simply excusable to treat him that way? After all he’s sacrificed, it isn’t fair at all. I am happy that he will have more time to take care himself because it was really heartbreaking to know about how much he suffered for the show. I hope he can take this time off to focus on music as well. Stay strong, guys. We all know that this news definitely did not sit well with the rest of the cast. Even Kang Hodong rejected SBS’ offer after knowing how they fucked over Jongkook and Jihyo. If Hodong really did reject SBS’ offer because of this, I have mad respect for him. It’s a shame to see how evil and insensitive the entertainment industry is. I feel so sorry for celebrities during times like these because they aren’t treated as humans at this point. After seeing how much Jihyo and Jongkook sacrificed, all of their hard work just got thrown in the trash. Shame on SBS for this and shame on the entire entertainment industry for profiting themselves on the suffering of men and women like Jongkook and Jihyo. TL;DR SBS is a piece of shit that needs to go re-evaluate its decisions or else they best believe that what awaits all those who support their fuckery is not pretty at all. Broadcasting networks can go fuck themselves.
