As a side note; I think that Mirabel was meant to have a similar role to Abuela’s as a caretaker, to the Family and Casita. That’s why she was able to see the cracks, because she “was looking out for the family.” Plus, out of everyone, those two are the ones who understand Casita better than anyone. Both of them carry the closest connection to the house and its magic.
