I’ve said every year since i came home from the hospital from the shooting (April of 2017) “this is going to be my year”

But for the first time in forever i actually believe that

I just bought a new camera (a sony zv-1f) so I’m excited to move off filming on my phone, and in the next couple of months Im going to start upgrading my pickups videos

How about another album review, i seem too be having bad luck with catching up with bands I like, today’s review is going too be on mcid by highly suspect. This album is weird to say the slightest, it’s like there’s three different bands on this album, you have a glimpse of the actual band on a track like canals and Upperdrugs

The other main band here is a sellout radio friendly band, the only good track from this side of the band would be the lead single 16, the third band is basically just lead singer Johnny stevens clearly off his mind trying too rap and scream all at the same time, this album sounds like a cry for help, and is really hard too listen too at only 16 tracks and clocking in at a little under an hour, i had a really hard time getting through this album as the drastic shifts in tone and structure, makes it come off more as a collaboration by multiple artists, instead of what people where expecting , I really hope johnny found the help he needed, and they never pull this shit again.

Overall I give it 2.5/10 as i did enjoy the brief parts that sounded like an actual highly suspect album, also i will give the band credit that if they had originally started out as an imagine dragons ripoff band they would’ve been halfway decent at it, and the guest rappers do a good enough job.

2. Canals (the first song on the album that sounds like a highly suspect song

3. 3. Upper drugs (the only other song that sounds like a highly suspect song)

4. 4. 16 (let’s call this one a highly sellout song, i like it I guess)

Tbh the band sold out harder on this album than the ps5 did the following year

Of the two albums ive listened too for a review mcid definitely isn’t dope and is worse than M A N I A by fallout boy

Ok so i just listened too m a n i a for the first time, my main question is, who is this for? It’s not for classic fob fans, and even more importantly it’s not for their new top 40 fans they made from save rock and roll, and American beauty, right out of the gate the record falls flat on its face with the opening track “stay frosty royal milk tea” which sounds like a bad pendulum song at its finest, “the last of the real ones” than gives a false hope of saving the record before shitting the bed for two straight tracks untill we hit the arguable highlight of the albym “church”, which isn’t saying much because this song sucks, following this we slug through the rest of the album which is almost as bad as nails on a chalkboard, this includes the single “champions” which sounds like a basic run of the mill post hiatus fall out boy song, and its not good enough too save the project, because in the end that is what this album feels like a concept project gone wrong

(Fall out boy does an electric rock album), too be honest the biggest problems with this album is the electric effect they put on patriotics coice, and the fact that they clearly didn’t have andy do the drums and instead added in drums in post, thankfully the album is a mercedul 36 minutes, so it’s a quick listen, but believe me it feels like forever
