when i was in g*rmany we went to a castle and they had stuff on display including cutlery and table sets and there was such a gorgeous one there, the plates and cups were hand painted in gold and pink, it was sooo nice. wanted it for myself so bad... well first of all that stuff was used by literal royalty so there's little chance there are replicas out there. second of all they don't make beautiful things anymore, all plates in stores are a dull grey at best. no painting, no details. sad!
