I learnt very quickly that HK is a vibrant, colourful fast city with the best skyline the world has to offer. At face value its one big laser show..... off! 

The extra special thing about this city, is what lies behind the architectural bravado. The city holds the most amazing natural secrets, from perfect beach hide outs to a whole jungle fever. 

I managed stage 4/7 on the HK trek this week. W O W  I underestimated how tough it was going to be but couldn’t back out half way through (as much as my dripping with wet face was giving the game away) I think I styled it out quite nicely. I’m so glad I did to, the views from the top where not only breath taking they put everything into perspective too. I found comfort in the view of the city from my surrounding jungle fever.... i tried but i’m always a city girl at heart!

I didn’t manage to take any pics from the top, too busy taking it all in and catching my breath. hehe

So Hong Kong is as much a delight in the evening as it is throughout the day. The neon street lights are so dreamy and hypnotic. I keep finding myself stopping and being so distracted by them all, which ends in me walking down the wrong street, then getting lost, then stumbling across somewhere new to eat or drink, meeting new strangers and falling even more in love with this colourful city.

W E E K  O N E

So w o w! I finally made it. After 2 weeks of tears, wines, goodbyes, 14 relaxers, a 16 hour stay in Delhi and a whole load of time to reflect on my fears and relationships that I’ve left behind, landing in HK was the warmest feeling…. A feeling of welcome, encouragement and the biggest kick up the arse......... I’ve been wanting in months. 

The city is so colourful, friendly and weirdly familiar. It has the hustle of London whilst holding a  transcendent calm. Nothing feels to overwhelming or suffocating…. HK has a balance that works…. For me.

So the beautiful sunshine is a shock to the system. However i rocked my high bun and sunnies in my summer dress and walked the scorching pavement in style today.

Mmmmm the food here is great and so super cheap. Picked up some sushi take away in Causeway Bay ... we ordered lots and we ate loads and it was sooooo good!

I have been thinking of my wonderful girlfriends at home and missing the random giggles and messages, the time difference is a lot harder than i anticipated. But i had breakfast with my Russian bitches on Wednesday and it put everything back into perspective.
