Nope. That’s what I’ve been trying to say, lol. There’s absolutely no smut at all. There will be scenes leading up to it, but no actual smut. It just really doesn’t fit with the mood of the story so far. But before you get too disappointed, like I said once here, I’m probably gonna write the smut scene of their first time… I’ll just post it as a standalone/sister piece. :))

A/N - Ah, this is my first time writing a fanfiction. I think this is the reason it turned out so long. (*blinking* - sorry for that) :-/ . I just really wanted to participate in the SS month - the reason this fic is T and not M. (Yeah first time and I was already planning R-rated :P ). But it was already too long and I had to cut it short. If people like it, I’ll write part 2 - the M-rated one. ^_^ . If someone takes out the time to read this long fic and likes it, thank you! :D . I am new to the fandom and Tumblr and just want to say - I just love the liveliness in this fandom. :D

‘thoughts’ “conversation”

The very air between them was simmering, being suffused with something – something like love, something like lust – setting her skin and soul on fire. She could feel his eyes on her, following her right hand as it moved up and down, up and down on her left. No! No – ah, this is, this is ‘something more’. Because her hand has slowly become just fingertips – when, she did not know – trailing slowly – sensually? – Up and down, leaving trails of almost fire, feeling almost the same way his would. Almost but not the same, it’s not the same.. , it is not the same! Yes, this is something more, something that – what do you call something, something that is a lust formed of love that cannot be contained anymore? – wants to be expressed, needs to be expressed. She already knew, because she feels it to her very bone, that her love for him is uncontainable, too much for one lifetime. It had taken him their first full summer apart from each otherto realize his feelings for Sakura were not quite as platonic as he had alwaysthought them to be. 

Ever since their mothers had befriended when they were onlyeight years old, the two of them had practically spent every day of their livestogether; at first awkwardly trying to bide their time, before steadilydeveloping a more familiar relationship—to then becoming the closest offriends.

They had been through nothing short of everythingtogether since then: from endlessly petty years of highschool and too embarrassingfamily dinners, to disastrous first dates and even more disastrous firstkisses; from scuffles and tussles with self-righteous jerks and snobby bimbos, to their sleep-depriving years of undergrad studies and sometimes downright barbarous partying. 

Together, they had laughed and cried, and joked and fought, a constant presence in each other’s life, never spending more than a few days apart—and for the last sixteen years, that was all Sasuke ever knew. He had never had time to doubt, or ponder about the type of feelings he held for her.

(because to him, she was always just Sakura, his childhood best friend, his closest confidante, the girl he’d seen through in basically every state (just as she had with him); she was his rock, his greatest motivator, the one who always believed in him even when he couldn’t.)

Until now.

Eyes set on her thoughtfully, Sasuke watched his somehow now even prettier best friend talk, taking in the glow of her smile and the cute dimples to her cheeks, feeling his heart swell with warmth (in that way that it hadn’t seemed to be able to in the three months she was away). He swallowed as imperceptibly as he could. How had he not realized this before?

“You okay, Sasuke-kun?” he heard her ask, then, drawing him away from his thoughts.

Sasuke blinked quickly. Had he been staring too much? He fought the urge to clear his throat, turning his attention back to the restaurant menu in his hands. “I’m… fine.”

Depth in my words - oh boy, I read over this again and literally thought, “why did I go on and on about sasuke’s feelings and inner turmoil, oh god, too much blah” so its really nice to hear that there is someone who does actually like that style of writing :)
