So I’ll stop telling you my good news - and you’ll stop telling me yours. Like the fact that you got a new job - the one you’d dreamed of since you were young. Like the fact that you moved into a new house, with new friends, and a whole world of hope. Or that you found a new favourite book or artist or song.
So maybe you’ll pick up tennis again, even though it almost broke you once. You’re a go-getter, you’re proud, and you never give up. And maybe you’ll fall in love with a girl who is nothing like me - and I hope, sincerely, that I never know.
And one day, soon, maybe, I won’t know a thing about you. Apart from the fact that you and I fell in love a little too deeply and a little too soon. Apart from the fact that we were too young to fully understand what love was. At least I was. At least I was. And I’m sorry for that.
“She wasn’t happy, but then she wasn’t unhappy. She wasn’t anything. But I don’t believe anyone is a nothing. There has to be something inside, if only to keep the skin from collapsing.”
— John Steinbeck

“Not all toxic people are cruel and uncaring. Some of them love us dearly. Many of them have good intentions. Most are toxic to our being simply because their needs and way of existing in the world force us to compromise ourselves and our happiness. They aren’t inherently bad people, but they aren’t the right people for us. And as hard as it is, we have to let them go. Life is hard enough without being around people who bring you down, and as much as you care, you can’t destroy yourself for the sake of someone else. You have to make your wellbeing a priority. Whether that means breaking up with someone you care about, loving a family member from a distance, letting go of a friend, or removing yourself from a situation that feels painful — you have every right to leave and create a safer space for yourself.”
— Daniell Koepke
“I saw my earlier selves as different people, acquaintances I had outgrown. I wondered how I could ever have been some of them.”

“Stayin’ Alive” by Bee Gees has the same tempo to “Another One Bites The Dust” by Queen, but there is a reason why “Stayin’ Alive” is used for doing CPR.

Lmao so what was the point.. in any of this?
Azor Ahai - The Great Prophecy - TPTWP? — if it were, all along, for Arya to kill the Night King, then what was the point in any of this?
What was the point of Rhaegar reading it and shaping himself to be it; to send the country into chaos? What was the point of the fire gold bringing Jon back from the dead? What was the point in merging fire and ice? This was an ancient Valyrian prophecy.. that predicted a random girl from a family name that didn’t exist then? Just LOL!
What was the point in bringing back Jon? Seriously what? He’s done absolutely nothing. He’s now gone back to the Wall; serving the Black. From what exactly? There’s no more White Walkers / NK. The Freefolk are now on good terms / allies with Westeros. There’s nothing to guard up there. What’s he going to stop? The cold winds… he wasn’t the Prince That Was Promised. He wasn’t Azor Ahai. He’s not the king. He’s just nothing.
What was the point of R+L=J? To be nothing more than a plot device to make Dany jealous? This secret - his creation was what turned Westeros upside down. This secret, that Ned risked his entire life and reputation for, meant literally nothing.
“I’m not here to be the queen of the ashes” a literal line from Dany in Season 7. She’s also made it apparent that she cares for the common folk, she even says; she wants to liberate more slaves. This literally contradicts her burning innocents in King’s Landing. What was the point in building this character up, with the messages that she cares for people and what’s to help, to have her snap in one episode over bells.. that have never rung for surrender!
You know what would have made more sense? Her flying over to the Red Keep, destroying - destroying the throne and capturing Cersei. And parading her down the streets. Having the people scream at her. Have it mirror her walk of shame.
This entire Mad Queen storyline.. like look, if that’s where it was truly going then fine. But at least build up to it. Have it happen organically and make it make sense. It happening in a single episode OVER BELLS makes no sense, and feels rushed and forced.
Seriously… if they were so set on making Dany go mad they should have had it like this: Drogon AND Rhaegal beging alive when she assaults King’s Landing; when the siege begins - so that Rhaegal is shot down in battle. So that that would be the final straw that broke Dany. Not bells! It would have at least made somewhat sensible sense, and it would have made the audience feel with Dany.
What was the point of all the talk about Dany and pregnancy? To subvert expectations?!? You could’ve used that time developing these characters and their relationships instead of creating random lines for fans to go on about.
What was the point of building up Cersei to be this scheming villain; not evil, but complexed with various layers. To have her built up to be the final boss in the great war. Only to humanise her and make Dany the final villain? Oh I know, to subvert audiences expectations, right?
What was the point of Arya going on about how they’re the Starks; family; blah blah blah, when she’s just going to leave? While on about the Starks, Sansa… she’s just going to get away with being a traitor? For breaking her word, before the heart tree, to Jon? She caused a giant dominio effect because she couldn’t keep her mouth shut - all because she hated Dany.
Seriously what was the point of this show…
It honestly feels like D&D were following what GRRM had lined out for them up until Season 7, and then were like “naaaaah let’s make all our characters act stupid and out of character, just to subvert expectations!1!1!!”
I’ll always remember Game of Thrones with an amazing first four seasons, a questionable fifth season, an enjoyable sixth season, and the final season; Season 7. Game of Thrones died the moment D&D gave up writing for this show; it died the moment these two incompetent morons decided to ruin characters for nothing more than shock value.
It was fun knowing you Game of Thrones
“It did no good to cry, she had learned that early on. She had also learned that every time she tried to make someone aware of something in her life, the situation just got worse. Consequently it was up to her to solve her problems by herself, using whatever methods she deemed necessary.”
— Stieg Larsson
