You are what you repeat. Repetition wears a groove deep enough to call itself identity and every mantra leaves fingerprints behind. Practice a thought long enough, and it starts introducing itself as you. Was it ever your belief, or just your best-rehearsed one?
Okay, for the songs that make me think of hypnosis, there's 2 flavors: 1) lyrics that directly reference mind/control etc. 2) sorta... everything else For #1, I don't keep a list (though I could start trying to catch them). I just notice them in the moment. Kinda like when you're doing a puzzle and you notice how many songs use a puzzle metaphor for being confused or trying to put a relationship "back together," ...or just say the word "piece." (I have a series of captions I've made where the captions are just isolated song lyrics that can be read as femdom/chastity.) For #2, I can often pull these examples to mind easier. Because they each have something distinct that I'm remembering. Burn for You by Kreo comes at me two ways. First, there's a LOT of repetition. The first line is "Let me tell you something you don't know..." But then, instead of telling you, she sings that same line again. Very induction elementy, yes? Then there's this awesome (yes, hypnotic) musical build-up to the chorus. It's that musical part (which I wish I could describe) that most makes me think of this as hypnotic. It's not that the music spirals, but it's... and I don't know how to explain this, music that feels like you'd hear it while staring at a spiral. Maybe part of it is that there's hardly any chorus that even follows, only the statement "I'm burning for you" followed by a lot of classic music nonsense sounds (na na na, na-ni-na).

I am not the smartest person ever, but there is nothing more entertaining than taking a smart, intellectual, brilliant person, and luring them into a trance, dropping them deep down where thoughts don’t matter, and critical thinking doesn’t happen.
