I hate the way youâre always right,
I hate it when you lie.
âOkay, deep breaths, Y/N! I donât need you to have a panic attack now!â Ellie said, almost having one herself.
Sheâs been in your room for over an hour, trying to calm you down. She knew that this was the day your father passed away. You were a wreck every year, but she has never seen you like this, not after the day he passed away.
âTalk to me. Please!â she begged, shaking you lightly. âYou actually seemed to be better this year. What happened?â
âShit,â you wiped tears, but they just kept coming, making a river down your cheeks. âFuck⌠Iâm sorry.â
She hugged you tightly, stating that you have nothing to be sorry for.
âShould I call Dean?â Ellie asked gently, hoping that heâll be able to calm you down. Lately it seemed like he was that thing that kept you happy and smiling.
âNo,â you said almost too quick and too loud, âIâll tell you what happened, just- just donât call him, please.â
âIâm so excited,â your mum squealed as she waited for you to come out of your room.
âMum, calm down!â you laughed, âIâm just going out, itâs not like thatâs something new.â
âYouâre going out with a boy! On a date!â
You could hear your little sister laughing on a hallway and Ellie couldnât help but crack a smile as well. They were all excited to see you go out with Dean, and to be honest, you were too. But knowing Deanâs reputation you always had this thought in the back of your mind, bugging you. You always thought that no matter what this couldnât really be true.
âHeâs a friend. Itâs not a date,â you called back, fixing your dress, before stepping out of the room.
Your mum gasped and you saw tears forming in her eyes. Instead of rolling your eyes, you just smiled at her this time, letting her have this mument.
âYou look beautiful,â she told you, pulling you in for a tight hug.
Just as she released you from her arms, finally allowing you to breathe, the doorbell rang. She smiled widely and hurried downstairs, your little sister following close behind. Meanwhile, Ellie smiled at you.
âReady?â She asked, excited.
âNever been more,â you nodded, âIâll just go grab my purse.â
She nodded and followed your mother while you jumped in your room just to grab your purse from the table.
Meanwhile, Dean nervously waited outside, unable to stay still. Michael next to him couldnât help but smile. Just knowing that his favourite cousin could make a guy this nervous calmed him down. He knew Dean and most importantly, he knew that guys like Dean donât get nervous unless something means a lot to them.
âWould you calm down?â Michael asked, chuckling, âIt Y/N, youâll be fine.â
Dean looked at Michael, âEasier said than done.â
The doors finally opened and your mum peaked out. She smiled at the boys, opening the door.
âHey Michael,â she pecked her nephewâs cheek and then turned to Dean, âHello Dean.â
As much as she wanted to put on her âstrict mumâ face, she couldnât help, but notice the nervous boy. He bit his lip, not even trying to steady his eyes on something.
âHello ma'am,â Dean smiled at her, again glancing at the stairs.
Michael was already talking to Ellie, somehow making her laugh when you walked down the stair. Or more like ran down the stairs. You found your purse quickly, but then realized you forgot to save your essay and send it to your English teacher.
You tripped, almost falling not-so-elegantly. âFuck,â you cursed under your breath, looking up at the people in the room, âIâm okay. Thanks for asking.â
Dean cracked a smile and slowly all of them relaxed. You smiled back at him and approached him.
âI hope they didnât scare you,â you joked again, eyeing your mum who only kept smiling, because she knew what neither of you did in that mument.
Dean only dared to smile, not completely trusting his voice. He looked at you, feeling something he has never felt and it felt good. It felt right.
His smile only widened when he noticed you checking him out.
âAre you only going to stare at each other or can we go?â Ellie rudely interrupted you, making you both blush.
âYeahâŚâ Dean cleared his throat, âLetâs go.â
He said goodbye to your mother and sister, before walking out. Only then he dared to take your hand in his, leading you to his old Impala.
As soon as you arrived, Ellie and Michael hurried into the schoolâs gym while Dean stopped you.
âIs something wrong, Dean?â you asked, only then noticing how worried he looks.
He smiled and shook his head, his eyes settled on the floor, âIâm just glad you came with me.â
âSo cheesy, Winchester. Câmon, letâs have fun,â a cheery voice came out and you fought the urge to giggle.
âOkay,â Dean breathed, feeling a weird lump in his stomach.
Once again, he tangled his fingers with yours, leading you inside to meet with the rest of the group.
The night started pretty good. Everyone seemed to have fun, talking and dancing. The music was for once good, teachers seemed to find an interesting topic to talk about and didnât pay any attention to what was happening in big gym full of teenagers.
Benny snuck in some alcohol and you let yourself free, drinking a few glasses of whatever this was mixed with strawberry juice. Ellie was giggling to everything Michael said and you fought the urge to roll your eyes.
You notice that Dean didnât drink, but he was driving so you blamed it on that. He was kind of quiet all night, the grumpy expression on his face, but you pushed that in the back of your head.
âOh, slow songs for couples!â Benny yelled a little too loud when Enriqueâs âHeroâ came on.
âDean now you can ask Y/N for a dance!â Drunk Castiel continued, taking another sip of whatever was in his glass, âCâmon, we all know that you have to!â
You giggled, blushing when all attention fell on you and Dean. You looked up to him and when your eyes met you noticed that he doesnât seem really happy with this. Giggle died out and suddenly it didnât seem as a good idea anymore.
Dean raised his eyebrows at you, making sure you knew that heâs only doing it because others told him to and when you nodded, he took your hand and dragged you away from his friends so you could dance in peace.
You linked your hands behind his neck and he put his on your hips. Even though you did move to the beat of music and anyone watching you would think that everythingâs okay, it just didnât feel right.
He was quiet, looking everywhere but at you.
âCan we go outside?â You leaned closer so he could hear you clearly, âI donât feel well.â
He nodded and you followed him out, ignoring the questioning looks from your friends. As soon as you were outside, Dean started talking.
âOf course you donât feel well. You drank too much alcohol for someone who has never had a drink in her life,â he told you clearly annoyed, âJust sit down and breathe, youâll be fine.â
âWhy would you think⌠Oh, of course!â you snapped at him. âYou think that because I have good grades, because I am a good girl, I never had a drink? Here you go again with your stupid stereotypes!â
Deanâs eyes widened when he saw you act like that. It surely wasnât what he expected.
âJust because I have high life goals and donât want to screw my future, that doesnât mean I was never drunk. At least I know how to have fun without alcohol, unlike you. God, I canât stand you sometimes!â
You ran a hand through your hair, trying to keep the tears from falling, âYou know, if you didnât want to dance with me, you could just say it. I felt like fucking shit when you ignored me.â
âWhat the fuck are you talking about?â Dean yelled back, ignoring a few people outside that turned to you.
âLook. I know that this whole you being after me thing isnât real, Dean,â you admitted.
All blood escaped from Deanâs face and for a second he felt like puking.
âI get that it was probably some kind of bet or whatever. I know that a guy like you never goes after a girl like me.â
Dean clenched his yaw, not quite believing his ears, âAnd youâre saying that because?â
âBecause itâs never like that. I mean I know Iâm hot and everything, but who am I kidding? Iâm a geek and you go after easy girls. Easy catches. Not a nerdy girl who studies all the time.â
âYou think all this was a bet?â He asked, ignoring the huge lump in his throat, âYou seriously think that Iâd go through all that only to win a bet? That I was nervous as fuck when I asked you out because I was scared Iâll lose the bet?â
âWell, you definitely didnât seem happy when your friends âmadeâ you dance with me!â you yelled at him, looking deep into his eyes.
He ran a hand through his hair, âI canât believe it.â
âDo you like me?â He asked out of the sudden, stepping closer. âAnd I mean it in an âI want to kiss youâ way, not in a friendly way.â
Hesitantly you nodded, now biting your lower lip, speechless for the first time.
âThen why canât you trust me that there is no bet at all?â
âBecauseâŚâ you tried to find a good answer, but it was like your brain refused to come up with an answer.
âStupid stereotypes, huh? Damn you must really like me,â he chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief.
You knew he was right and you wanted to believe him more than anything.
âDo you like me?â you asked this time, daring to look him deep in the eyes.
âDo I⌠Yes, Y/N. I like you. Damn youâre fast,â he muttered, âDoes it even matter? If you donât trust me?â
Maybe it was the alcohol or maybe it was all the frustration in you causing that you lifted yourself, pressing your lips on his.
Dean was surprised, but quickly leaned into a kiss, his hands on your hips bringing you closer to him. He moaned in your mouth when you pulled his hair and you smiled into a kiss.
âIt matters too damn much,â you told him.
He stared at you for a mument longer before reuniting your lips.
âGod, youâre fucking gorgeous.â
âYouâre not bad yourself, mister,â you joked, pressing a quick kiss on his lips, âBut weâve got to get back inside.â
Dean whined, not wanting to let you go.
âCâmon baby. Itâll be fun,â you pushed yourself away from him and grabbed his hand to drag him behind you.
âI bet I can make being alone with you way more fun,â he smirked and rolled your eyes.
âYeah, you told me what happened that night,â Ellie smirked, âBut thatâs not the reason youâre crying.â
âWould you just listen, please?â you sighed, âThatâs not the whole story. It didnât end there.â
I hope you liked it! Opinions? Part 7?
