step by step

we silence

the dark

with every

single

kiss

thunder rolls

across the sky

as i fall

on my knees

before you

your hands

gripping tight

while we

consume

the night

with nothing

left to lose

a silent hum

rises through

the tires

white noise

accepting

as a hug

mist

evaporates

on the heated

asphalt

pulled

by an

invisible

flow

obsessed by the implicit

geography of touch

your hands map every

hidden line and curve

teaching me

what to rememberw

when words no longer serve.=

glowing river

kisses

breath

collides

longing

deepening

on the starlit

waters of night

you know where to go

to heal what hurts

applying forgiveness

which feels good

with a little burn

glowing water

bodies close

beneath the stars

gathered gently

in the grotto

of your arms

where waves and winds softly kiss

we too flow

on starlit water

you should

have been there

an amazing

purple dusk

has it not been

for my thumb

on the lens

you'd even

have seen

the stars

by the arousal

of your touch

the earth continues

to spin without

falling apart

we do make

the planet shake

turning Love Into Art

patience

wait

delivering

my best

attention

for those

weekends

when you're

home

delaying

not ready

to wake up

in a sea of

cozy softeness
