What's you favorite thing to drink next to the pool? 🍷🍸🍹🍾🍻🍵? Mine is indubitably beer. Pale Ale or IPA if possible. (Yes, I know some people think it tastes like cat pee. Would you ever move abroad? Why or why not? ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️ If I trace back the origins of my move to Mexico, there are many indicators that could’ve foreshadowed my move. My passion for travel, for experiencing new places and cultures, my attraction to adventure, and my growing dislike of living in the US, were all fertile soil for the seed planted by the disasters of Hurricane Katrina. How are you spending your holidays? Where are you? What will you do? 🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇 I'll be spending mine with my Dad and Mom-ish in Guanajuato, Mexico, where they live. I'm grateful to be in the cold, dusty desert (not so cold to you northerners, I know) getting that QT with 2 of my favorite humans. We have a few fun family traditions - like Aaron Neville holdiay tunes, nachos on Christmas eve, and fried fish benedict on Christmas morning (a New Orleans treat). I'm not much of a holiday person. While the rituals themselves have never meant much to me, what I do love about it is how it draws people together around an intention of reconnecting and sharing and love. what are your end of the year traditions? And what will they look like this year? 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 Obviously, this year will be really different. Many people will be isolated, and, many more fight regular struggles during this season anyway, so it's no surprise that the current situation will exacerbate the situation. No matter what's coming up for you this year, you aren't alone. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 What I appreciate is that it's a reminder that a reset can always take place. As cheesey as it sounds, re-evaluation is always available, every moment is a new choice, and somehow the end of the year offers a time to reflect and consider how, why, when and where. This year, I'll be looking back on 2020, reflecting with gratitude on the challenges and the growth, and setting new goals for 2021.
