best friend

i'm in love with my best friend. 

i'm not sure i want to act on it.. it's been festering for awhile. but i know it's there. i know i couldn't imagine my life without him.

i have no idea how he feels.

but i know him well enough to know that he probably feels the same. i can read his mind - like any best friend should.

the windy city.

i went outside today. it was raining. even though it's december, it was raining. even though i think this city is so dumb it can't freeze ice, i couldn't help but feel amazed walking outside. it was pouring rain. the sidewalk was slippery. i was wearing two jackets, sweatpants, and boots (none of them matched). I had an oversized bag full of books and food to have a study party on saturday night. i should feel completely lame. but i felt amazed. i love that feeling. i love this city. i love everybody in it. i love stepping outside and knowing i am EXACTLY where i belong. and for the first time, i didn't understand the people who don't know that. i was literally ANGRY with the "best friends" in my life who don't understand that this is not only where i WANT to be, this is where i NEED to be. and anybody who doesn't understand why, shouldn't be part of my life. i'm sorry to get personal. i just had one of those PERFECT nights where nothing significant happened, but then again, EVERYTHING HAPPENED.

if you have seen (and to see is to love) almost famous..

you must watch untitled (the bootleg/director's cut) it is incredible. didn't think the movie could get better... and it did.

and then watch it with directors commentary.
