You'd better believe I am!
We certainly wouldn't want them wandering the floor, would we?
The fruits of my labor. Not much as of yet, but tasty just the same!
Maker's Mark: A Bourbon Review
According to the bottle, Maker's Mark is the only bourbon-whisky made in America that has never been mass produced (to the knowledge of the distillers.) Each batch is made in less than 19 barrels, allowing the distillery to be extra picky about the flavor of their hand made bourbon. Each bottle comes sealed in wax, which adds an almost nostalgic feel to this bourbon before you even crack open the bottle.
As for the bourbon itself, it has a very fruity nose, heavy with the smell of butterscotch. This bourbon is very sweet and fruity, having overtones bordering on the flavor of citrus. The finish is very sweet, bringing out the flavor of vanilla (although some say they really taste the butterscotch at the end.) The aftertaste of alcohol is faint and pleasant and not at all overwhelming.
While I am by no means a whisky connoisseur, Maker's Mark is probably my favorite bourbon at this point in time. My unrefined whisky pallet gives it five stars.
Chillin with mah dawg...
Decided to treat myself because life isn’t as abysmal as I think it is. Stay tuned for my review of Maker’s Mark.
