why is Doppo's pose of him looking like he's strangling himself?! it's... mildly unsettling. don't get me wrong, I love Hypnosis Mic from what I've seen so far, but images of him kind of make me go "why are you doing that to yourself??" like do they ever address it, or what? thanks and sorry for the random q but this is the kind of stuff my mind comes up with at 12:11 AM. love your blog and translators!

And yeah, that’s intentional. Doppo is presented to us as a character who is done with life, he works too much, has to deal with hifumi (that isn’t easy at all! lmao) and doesnt get enough rest (in the drama track, jakurai asks him if he’s still having trouble to sleep, he said he’s fine, but that doesn’t mean he sleeps enough). If you check the lyrics of his solo “trigidia”, the chorus says “i just want to sleep”, not really sleeping, but he just wants some rest. You know, when you sleep to forget your problems? That’s doppo’s situation, he’s a character that is tired of his life :(
