The Mnemosyn-lings each represent a different slice of the universe. The violence, the curiosity, the intelligence , the altruism, the sadness and the fear. The other two, creepypasta investigator and proffessional skater, ascended to their status.
The natural ones have been around since always and forever.
These can't be named beings. They are comparable to the force pushing objects down, to the rays of light the ones without eyes can't comprehend.
Their official pronouns are it/its (in an object way), but nobody will mind being called something else.
They are outside of time and space, so they can be anytime, everytime, everywhere, anywhere, here, there, now, then (past), then (future), all at the same time. In the universe and outside of percieved and unpercieved reality.
They can be felt by other organisms, that's their presence. They're the feelings, the actions...
They can also appear physically, however, keeping their form requires the force, feeling, sentiment, idea etc. to be present. The stronger these things are, the better they maintain their form. (They are the force, feeling, sentiment and representation, so if they're not present their physical form can't form and if these concepts aren't acted upon their form can't take, it does sound convoluted but stay with me here)

The rainbow may be natural, but the monochrome isn't. Grey, black and white are the absence of something. They're lethe, oblivion, null.. the two monochromes have gained their title.
Grey has ascended via pity from the other null. He used to be a normal teenage guy, until he was abducted by the government to study the presence of spirits and higher beings. This went on until the scientists tried to extract his spirit. Given the chance, he thrashed and ripped himself in half. The free part of his soul went on the run from the authorities. The other part suffered. Unfortunately, one by one, every little particle of him was captured. Regarding this experiment a failure, the scientists gathered him whole and deleted him from existence. Black and white, as it was it's domain, and it was lonely, took a look at him and decided to make him it's equal.
Black and white ascended by eating the soul of the other hims from the multiverse. The investigations conducted on various mind melting anomalies, personal traumas and unfortunate events has made him more and more inclined to violence, hatred, lack of empathy and want for absolute power. Inspired by various powerful spirits, cults and anomalies, he decided to start a cult around him, which will venerate him like a god, increasing his spiritual power tenfold. He continues to live like this for another 10 years, until he is caught. He then takes his own life and continues foward with the second part of his plan. Once dead, he starts hopping from multiverse to multiverse, eating every him that's ever existed, while dodging the ones who try to stop him. But then he gets caught and he gets banished to the void, where he is supposed to be trapped for eternity. He manages to escape, in the far past and continues with his plan. Since he was alive, he's been studying the 6 (the rainbow), trying to get to their level. Eventually, he does, but, instead of becoming the 7th he becomes nothing. Maybe it's better to be a ruler of none than a ruler of one.
