“I loved you in a way I wished someone would love me.”
— Mahmdou Darwish
“But love was always something heavy for me. Something I had to carry.”
— Benjamin Alire Sáenz
—W. S. Merwin, from Separation
I don't know who needs to hear this (definitely me) but sometimes you gotta wait! Al-Mu'akhkhir will make you wait so that you can ask As-Samad for it, to get closer to Al-Waliyy, so that you build that relationship with Al-Wadood and in the meantime apart from love and strength to bear, Al-Aleem gives us hikmah.
Hikmah to understand the decisions of the Al-Mui'zz. And when Al-Baatin doesn't give you what you asked for, this hikmah and tawakkal comes in help. And it just makes your belief more firm and heart more relieved on the decisions of Al-Mu'min.
