AGA'S HOUSE by Lendita Zeqiraj - Official Trailer V2 from N'ART + WOOF FILMS on Vimeo.
A delicate look at the lives of five women through the eyes of a nine year old boy searching for his missing father.
Nine year old Aga lives with his mother and four other women in a remote mountain location in Kosovo. Aga tries to make some money by selling cigarettes but his main goal is continuing to search for his missing father. The only male figure in his life is Cera who is brutal and harsh even though he keeps an eye out for Aga, who is too young to understand the reason why he lives in the current location with all the women. When an unexpected emergency arises, Aga is forced to help out and that sets in motion a sequence of events that exposes him to the truth.

PSA/ Adopt Don't Buy from Naomi Chen on Vimeo.
This's my final project in SCAD. I want to use my personal narrative story to arouse people to help those homeless stray dogs. They are also very cute and pretty!
--------------------------------------------------------------
I unintentionally saw an adoption news on the Internet. Four dogs (a mother dog and its three babies) were expelled from the factory to become stray dogs. Because the mother dog used to watch the factory, but now the factory is completed, workers do not need it any more. I hesitated for a while, because I just graduated from college and prepared for studying abroad in that time, I should focus on learning, though I especially like dogs. I contacted them, Hangzhou animal protection organizations. Then I decided to adopt one of the puppies, it is my little bulb.
FENCE from Lendita Zeqiraj on Vimeo.
Several women from different generations of the same family loudly confront each other with their views on life, love, desire, and the patriarchy. The family gathering turns into chaos while the youngest one – the only boy – looks for an escape.
"Fence" is this week's Staff Pick Premiere! Read more about it here: vimeo.com/blog/post/staff-pick-premiere-fence
This is a very simple story, yet it reveals many complexities of our society, identifying them through characters’ way of communication, struggling to filter and convey their experiences and beliefs. 'FENCE' is not about the customs or the traditions; they are there and they are present on screen, but they are not the issue. The issues are within the characters, their relationships, and the drama. In that sense, it doesn’t matter where they come from, because being a daughter, mother, wife, or any part of a family dynamic is a universal topic that happens everywhere, to everyone.

REVIEW
One of the best and most interesting movie experiences of the year. – Einar Aarvig, film critic
The film is both poetic, realistic, unpretentious and current. The film language, the sound design and the acting are liberating. – Christin Berg, head of programming Nordisk Film Kino
An exciting movie: Challenging, atmospheric, thought provoking, uncomfortable and surprising. And the actors play very well. – Svend Jensen, head of Arthaus
BERGEN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2017 Best Norwegian Short Film: NO MAN IS AN ISLAND
Statement: The winner is a brave and ambitious film that doesn’t shy away from big existential and political questions. Made in different modes, sometimes in a manner that can even be pretentious, it manages to land its many ideas elegantly, winning the audience with an authentic, humorous and spontaneous approach. A surprisingly fresh film about friendship, belonging and prejudice, and an impressively confident start for its filmmaker. Jury BIFF: Aleksander Huser, Einar Aarvig, Henning Rosenlund
MINIMALEN 2018 Best Norwegian Short Film: NO MAN IS AN ISLAND
Statement: The jury was impressed with the visually beautiful scenes, the sound design, acting and poetry in this film. This poetry is juxtaposed with an encounter with the rough reality of racism hidden behind a message of tolerance which makes the glass ceiling even more hurtful for the protagonists of the film. Through a small random encounter, the director intelligently shows us how No man is an Island. Jury Minimalen: Beth Sá Freire, Leiv Igor Devold, Sari Volanen

Millions of visitors a year come to Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park, one of the seven natural wonders of the world and the most visited national park in the western United States. However, on extremely rare days when cold air is trapped in the canyon and topped by a layer of warm air, which in combination with moisture and condensation, form the phenomenon referred to as the full cloud inversion. In what resembles something between ocean waves and fast clouds, Grand Canyon is completely obscured by fog, making the visitors feel as if they are walking on clouds.
This video was filmed as part of SKYGLOW (skyglowproject.com), an ongoing crowdfunded quest to explore the effects and dangers of urban light pollution in contrast with some of the most incredible dark sky areas in North America. This project is being produced in collaboration with International Dark-Sky Association (darksky.org), a non-profit fighting for the preservation of night skies around the globe.
The film was shot on Canon 5DSR & 5DIII cameras & lenses sponsored by Canon USA, aided by Alpine Labs' Michron & Pulse, powered by Paul C. Buff Vagabond Mini. LRTimelapse was used to process some of the shots.

Timelapse artists and filmmakers Gavin Heffernan and Harun Mehmedinović are proud to introduce WWW.SKYGLOWPROJECT.COM, a 192-page hardcover photobook and timelapse video series exploring North America’s remaining magnificent night skies and the increasing impact of light pollution on our highly fragile environment.
A blend of images, stories, essays, and anecdotal captions, SKYGLOW explores the history and mythology of celestial observation and the proliferation of electrical outdoor lighting that spurred the rise of the phenomena known as “light pollution,” a grave threat not only to our incredible starscapes but also to the very ecosystem itself.
After a highly publicized Kickstarter campaign that ended as the fourth-most earning Photobook campaign ever, Harun and Gavin traveled over 150,000 miles and logged more than 3,000,000 photos on their grueling three-year quest. From incredible locations like the active Kīlauea volcano in Hawaii to Alberta’s majestic Northern Lights, SKYGLOW takes viewers on a visual journey through time, exploring our civilization’s evolving relationship with light and the night sky through the ages.
See how the ancient Puebloan archaeoastronomy sites of our native elders have now been replaced with the blinding “artificial day” of over-lit modern metropolises, and learn about the “Dark Sky Movement” fighting to reclaim the pristine darkness the Earth had enjoyed for billions of years. The importance of America’s threatened National Parks is also highlighted in a section of stunning landscapes from numerous parks, including Shenandoah, Yosemite, Acadia, Death Valley, Yellowstone and many more.
Completed in collaboration with the International Dark Sky Association (IDA), SKYGLOW also explores the numerous towns and sites that IDA has identified as official “Dark-Sky” Communities, Cities, Parks, Reserves and Sanctuaries.
