This literally has the potential to be 55 Minutes 2.0. Atsushi, wandering around London, on a mission or whatever, kinda lost, kinda excited, all the fantasies and fairytales from here he’d read about right in front of him. He gets in a fight, he’s chasing something or someone through the city streets, he’s running, it looks like he might be surrounded, there’s a flash of black, a shadow swallowing up the streetlights. He sees a figure emerge from the dark. His hearts racing, his mind goes blank. He sees Akutagawa appear, the words “I found you” already on his lips buT IN THE NEW CONTEXT DOES ANYONE SEE THE VISION

at this point I'm convinced asagiri made the volume cover and the chapter cover vaguely reminiscent of BEAST just to spite me. this is not in any way my own fault btw ಠ⁠_⁠ಠ

Who cares what Asagiri says, it CAN be about Beast if you just believe it hard enough. Besides, that illustration really speaks to me of the opposite to “Akutagawa the White, Atsushi the Black”

Give me Akutagawa having an incredibly good posh accent due to mafia training

Give me Atsushi running around fascinated because he's read about all these places in the orphanage and Akutagawa dragging along

Give me sskk having to solve some old timey mystery you'd see in those black and white movies

Give me some random bloke seeing Atsushi use his ability and call him "The White Reaper" (BEAST PARALLELS YAY YAY YAY)

Give me Akutagawa being a surprisingly good detective with an astonished Atsushi (Insert "you'd make a pretty good cop" scene from zootropolis)

Give me sskk sitting down in some corner store café, sipping tea, and finally discussing their relationship and what they went through

Give me a sskk dance scene in some fancy old masquerade ball (with one teaching the other how to dance)

Give me the 6-month deal expiring when they're in the page (that'd be hilarious)

Give me sskk riding in a chariot (chariot chase?)

And finally, give me sskk being their normal separation anxiety selves and clutching onto each other as they exit the page :D
