Even though I am working on this project and have seen hours of footage I am continually surprised and stunned by what comes back to the edit suite. To me these images are exactly why we are working on the 'Brindabellas' project and shooting it in the near infra red spectrum. I can't wait to show this 4K in the coming months. silverdory:

Couple of frames of the 5K RED Epic-X footage from yesterday’s ‘Brindabellas’ fieldwork. This RED Epic-X is modified to shoot full-spectrum - the entire Brindabellas film is being shot in near infra-red.

Just a quick heads up on the next Silver Dory near-infrared motion project - ‘Brindabellas’. There is a preview screening at the National Film & Sound Archive in Canberra on May 30 - in glorious 4K on the best projector / screen in the region. This a 30 minute preview of the actual finished piece which runs closer to 90 minutes - there will also be a talk / Q and A about it on the night. One other slight clarification … Brindabellas is a film about time but it is not really a timelapse film. There is certainly some timelapse .. but the majority of the film is not … Come along on May 30, it will make more sense!
