Swedish Cookies||Micoo & Burnie

“Weekend at Burnie’s.” He chuckles a little, nuzzling slightly into the man’s touch before he smiles softly. A soft sigh leaves his lips then as his face rests in Michael’s hands.

“Well I mean you’re probably not wrong there.” He hums, pressing a kiss to Michael’s hand before he pouts. “You only just got here..”

Michael smiles at Burnie’s pout and thumbs the lower lip, leaning in to peck him again. He should be getting back to the guys but at the moment, Burnie’s arms feel like a home he hasn’t seen in years. There’s something he could be recording, somewhere he could be acting, but right here is where Michael wants to be.

“I’ll stay just a bit longer,” Michael mumbles and hides his face in Burnie’s neck, hand falling from his face and onto Burnie’s chest. They lapse into a comfortable silence, Michael drawing meaningless and arbitrary patterns into Burnie’s merch shirt.

“Wanna drive me to the airport Friday?” he asks suddenly.

With his own arms now around Michael’s middle the elder smiles at the kiss he gets, returning the next one softly before he’s raising an eyebrow at the lick. He wasn’t expecting it to be honest.

“…Well I wonder why..” He hums, pursing his lips for a moment before he kisses Michael’s cheek softly. “If you want..when you come back you can stay at mine instead of going home so you can rest and I can look after you..”

“Weekend at Burnie’s?” he asks and chuckles, running his hand through his boyfriend’s curls. “So much hair...” Michael’s hand slides down the man’s face and cups him gently, thumb stroking the curve of his cheek.

“Yeah, I’ll sleep over at your place I guess. Warm up the controllers while I’m gone, and I’ll kick your ass at Overcooked.” Michael smiles and kisses Burnie’s nose. “I should probably get back to the guys...”

“Hey but..think about it this way…” He hums, moving to rest a hand on Michael’s knee. “When you come back we can just have a lazy day or something…maybe go out to a pool or whatever you fancy..we can make up for lost time.”

Smiling softly then he hums, pulling Michael from the desk and onto his lap to cuddle him. “No…haven’t played that one yet but maybe it’s something we could do.” He hums, leaning to kiss the man’s cheek then.

Michael’s smile turns a bit more genuine when Burnie pulls him from the wooden desk, arms going around his boyfriend’s neck and kissing his cheek as well.

“Sounds like a dream,” he mumbles and cups Burnie’s furry face, turning him so their lips could meet. Michael’s tongue darts out to lick before he pulls away, amused expression on his face.

“You taste like chocolate crumbs,” Michael says and uses his thumb to gently brush some of the treat away.

“I think that’s reasonable..” He hums a little, leaning up to kiss the other. He was about to speak again before there’s a cookie in his mouth, Burnie raising an eyebrow before he takes hold of it and takes a bite.

“It’s…not bad..” He hums as he takes another bite, reaching up then to playfully pinch Michael’s cheek. “I know..as usual we’ve all just been busy.”

Michael wiggles his face out of the pinch, chewing his own cookie thoughtfully. He finishes the small treat off and sets the package on Burnie’s desk, leaning back onto his palms.

“Yeah, and Let’s Play Live is coming up soon which means I’ll be out of town. The universe doesn’t want us to spend time together,” Michael jokes but his smile falters just a bit, eyes turning down to his shoes.

“Have you played Overcooked yet? I just tried to and it’s so hard,” he says and picks his head up. “It was me, Jeremy, Geoff, and Ryan so it was really bad. We couldn’t get more than one star on the levels.”

With the end of a pencil held between his teeth the elder continued his work, fingers typing away at various keys on the keyboard of his laptop as he worked to finish up the email he was sending. He was happy. Things were going well for the company, people were still enjoying it and the community were as supportive as they’d ever been– disregarding what you could call the bad apples but hey, every community online had those.

After getting the text from Michael and saying he was more than welcome to come over to the office, the man finished up the email and switched to glance over twitter, deciding it would be best not to continue writing things for the mean time. With the knock at the door the man smiles, glancing up at Michael with a smile. “You came all the way to my office just to feed me?”

“No... I also came for a raise,” he says coyly and rounds the desk, sitting in front of Burnie. “I want what I make now... and a kiss.” Michael leans down and kisses his boyfriend, smiling at him before stuffing a chocolate cookie between his lips.

“Does it taste good? I have a feeling I’m being the guinea pig for my friend so...” Michael pulls a cookie out of the wrapping and nibbles on one himself, smiling at Burnie. “I haven’t seen you around, only when you came by to celebrate my five years at RT.”

Michael walks across the way back to the main Stage 5 offices, swiping his card through the reader and pushing in. There’s a pale blue cylinder in his hands, the writing foreign but the cookies advertised on them looked delicious. Michael casually tosses them in the air as he makes through the sea of mini offices, waving to Miles and anyone who happens to greet him.

Slowly but surely Michael makes it to Burnie’s office and gently knocks on the door, having already texted his boyfriend he was coming. He turns the handle and enters, closing the glass door and smiling at his boss.

“So guess who has an awesome friend who lives near an Ikea, and sent me some Swedish chocolate cookies?” he asks as he picks at the thin packaging. “Wanna try one?”

Hey Michael. Yea sure, what’s up?

So you know that I’m like, bi and stuff right? But I’m still a guy. And we had to do the Lazer Team panel where I wore the wig and stuff but like... I liked it?

I don’t mean like “haha it’s a funny joke I’d do it again.” I mean... Like I’d wear it on the regular.

Coming up to the familiar door Burnie smiles, a hand running through his hair slowly as he does so. It was nice to spend more time with Michael. As he drew close enough the man knocked twice and waited, a soft smile on his lips as he stood there.

Michael opens the door and his hand goes to Burnie's shirt, pulling him in with a pretty smile. The door closes behind them as Michael's soft lips meet Burnie's again, for the first time in a week.

"Hey," he whispers and pulls away to let his boyfriend toss his bag aside. Michael pulls at his hand and guides him to the softened couch.

Tucking his phone into his pocket Burnie gathers a few things into a bag to take with him; clothes, phone charger, tooth brush, a few drinks he had spare. Seemed like enough for now. It didn’t take long for him to leave the house and start the car.

The journey isn’t too long, the roads not to busy thankfully. He parks up and locks the car, bag slung over his shoulder as he makes his way to Michael’s.

Michael readies Netflix on his flat screen, tossing pillows and blankets along his couch and bringing some beers into a mini cooler for convenience. His curls bounce as he practically skips around his living room, excited to see his boyfriend again. Popcorn is tossed into the microwave and the apartment is filled with the scent of melted butter.
