I believe so :(
Not nice. :(
Dead?
When I want to be a cat, I become a cat.
Regulus stared down at the ground, absolutely pained, how could he choose? Being with her meant she would be hurt, both physically and emotionally. Regulus knew they were going to kill him, and soon. How could he put her through that? But then, he loved her more than anything, and the idea of not being with her hurt just as badly as the cruciatus curse had. He ran a hand down the length of his longest scar again and looked up at her. âMar, I love you so much. Maybe too much.â he put his hand on her shoulder, as if just touching her might give him some strength. âHow can I stand it if they hurt you? Itâll be all my fault.â A tear trickled down his cheek and he wiped it away angrily.
She took his hand from her shoulder and squeezed it. "You can't love anybody too much. And I don't know if you want to be alone in these dark times. I just want to help you somehow even though I don't know how but I know that leaving you alone is just wrong. It won't be your fault if anybody hurts me but mine and as I have told you a million times before I can perfectly well protect myself." She looked at him and sighed. Where's the point in just talking? It won't lead anywhere but hurt them and that killed her. "Reg, I should go now, itâs getting late. Just please, think about it!" She stood up and walked away crying hoping nobody would see her. She hated crying and she just felt so fucking weak because she couldnât do anything to make it stop.
âMarlene,â He sighed, avoiding her eyes, âI donât know what you want me to say, I just canât stand the idea of you getting hurt.â His voice was choked with tears, âI love you more than anything but I just canât-â He broke off and stared down at the ground, âTell me what I should do, how do I-? How can I be with you when I know youâll just end up getting hurt? I canât do that to you.â He knew she was going to give him grief for talking like that, but he didnât care, he just wanted her to leave and let him be alone. It didnât matter if she loved him or not, she was only going to get hurt, and if he would do everything in his power to stop anything to happening to her.
"Black, how often do I have to tell you I don't care if I'm getting hurt? And besides I can perfectly well protect myself." She sighed after this won't lead anywhere. "Why can't you? If you can't then just don't love me it would make things a lot easier. And do you know what you're doing? You're hurting me now. And it hurts a lot more than being tortured by a damn curse. So please just decide whether you want nothing or me. I don't want to fucking ignore you anymore it's just so infantile to do this and it won't end anywhere." She wondered how she could have said all this with such a calm voice . All she wanted was just an answer to end this game or however one could call it or to start all over again.
He smiled awkwardly in return, it come off looking more like a sneer, all teeth and a scrunched up nose. âThank you.â
He wasnât entirely sure who she meant would go to Dumbledore, but he ignored it, and shrugged. âThatâs why itâs written so poorly.â It was meant to be nearly unreadable. Obviously, it wasnât.
Sheâd asked how he knew all of his âadvicesâ worked, hadnât she. Well, a large part had been trial and error behind his fatherâs back at home with whatever he could smuggle back with him, but he wasnât about to tell her that. âSome is previous education from my mother, but most of it is my own knowledge.â
And that wasnât even a lie. Heâd seen her very quickly brew things as a child hoping for her husband not to notice, and heâd been interested enough that she promised to show him later on. Sheâd done a tiny bit, but when she discovered him doing it at home alone, instead of telling no, its dangerous, sheâd given him the okay and just warned him to not let his father see it.
He shook his head in a small motion. âIâm not angry.â he told her, a little worried, but glad to have his book back, and hoping sheâd only used the potion notes, not others.
"No problem at all." Poorly written? She could read it all easily without even trying. But that could be because she writes really terrible. "If you'll try, you can read everything. So just don't lose it again." She didn't believed it was just previous education and own knowledge. Obviously that was really advantaged potions making but if he didn't want to tell her, she was perfectly happy with it. "Oh that must have been a really good education. You're pretty interested in potions, aren't you?" She smiled at him even though he looked kind of disgusted by her. The book didn't just included potion advices but also some spells but she wasn't very keen on trying one of them without knowing what they would do. After Severus wasn't so talkative it wouldn't be good asking him what these spells would do and she even couldn't remind anyone of them.
He blinked, at first not noticing she was there. He turned and looked at her, confused at the fact someone had spoken to him, even if he was alone and mostly harmless. âMckinnon?â he asked out loud when her identity registered in his mind. Then he registered what sheâd actually said. She still did have it, didnât she? Heâd had other things on his mind than retreiving his potions book upon returning to Hogwarts.
âDo you have it right now?â he asked, prefering to get it back as soon as possible, now. Sure, she wasnât the worst person to have it, and had probably only used it for notes, but it could get to other less favourable people if it stayed in her possession.
âHow did you even get it in the first place?â He had no idea honestly.
"I should have it somewhere in this stack of books." She kneeled down, placed the books on her knee and searched for the book. It had to be there. And here it was. She pulled out the book, tooked the other books in her other arm and stood up. "Here you are." She gave the book to him and smiled. "It lay in the library and I tooked a look and when I saw the notes I thought it'd be better if I keep it until I can hand it back to you. You shouldn't just let it lay anywhere I guess not everybody would give it back to you or go to Dumbledore." Marlene thought he'd know to whom she was refering but it wasn't that hard to guess.
Still she kept wondering where he knew all these thing from, she never heard of those advices but they've really worked. "Tell me, where did you got all these advices from? Or did you just made them by yourself? It's scary how they all work. I hope you're not angry that I looked at some of them."
@ Severus
Marlene was in a rush to history of magic. There wasn't a word to describe how much she hated it. It was just plainly boring and most of the time she just did the homework for other subjects in it so she wouldn't doze off.  And then those annoying first years running around in the corridors and not looking if they would run into someone. Really what happened with those first years? So it wasn't a suprise when once again a first year run into her and all her books fell on the ground. "God, why can't you little children look before you run?" She picked up her books and glared at the first year. She walked around the corner and saw Severus standing there alone. "Ehm, Severus? I still got your potion book, don't you want it back one day?" Marlene wondered why he didn't wanted the book back earlier but his potion book was really helpful with all of those notes. But she didn't really needed them and she totally didn't like having books that weren't hers.
I-I tripped over.
Woah, that looks really nice.
Yeah, I know, I like to think it makes me look kind of⊠rugged.
I think it makes you look really sexy and strong.
