“It’s not easy at times but it helps that I have Nina.” She took a sip of her coffee before looking over at Molly for a moment. “How is Imogen and your brother doing? With everything that happened.”

Molly looked at Emma for a moment, like she was trying to read her mind (it was strange to her how they could all be such good friends and she was still in hyper protective mode over Eric half the time) but she blinked and lifted her coffee to her lips with a small shake of her head. “Not too great.. honestly, I’ve barely been able to get a word out of Imogen lately, it’s all been very difficult.”

“Oh god, I really needed that. Thank you.” Emma smiled, taking a drink and then looking at the twins asleep in the pram. “I swear they still keep me up sometimes.” // @secretsummerstarters​

“Sure.” She shrugged, glancing at the babies and then back to Emma. “I can imagine.” Even sometimes when Brooklyn stayed over it was still difficult to settle her.

“Well we are all fucked up in our own way right?” He offered which was true considering his own secret. “It would be and please let me be there if you do this to her.” He chuckled. There was a grin on Heath’s lips now. “Good I was hoping you would say that.” He wrapped an arm around her.

“Yeah, you got that right.” She nodded and scrunched her nose, thinking about it. It was definitely true. “Don’t worry, I’d get you front row tickets.” She teased, looking up at him. “Oh, yeah?” Molly chuckled as he wrapped an arm around her and leaned into him, smiling before she leaned up and kissed him.

Moments with Molly made him forget about his fucked up obsession with his cousin. “It all sounds very fucked up. Maybe you should get her high one night.” He joked lightly. “Although I would pay to see that as well.” He chuckled lightly. “How long do I have you for?”

“Welcome to the Matthews family, fucked up is our middle name...” Molly shrugged, having another hit before she passed it back with a little sigh. “Oh, shit... you know what, that’d be hilarious.” She laughed, imagining it. She looked back at him. “I’ve got the whole night to spare.” Molly grinned at him.

“I think I would pay to see that.” Heath chuckled lightly, before taking another hit and passing it to her. That was when he glanced over at her. “How are things going with mother dearest?”

Molly chuckled, shaking her head as she took it from him and took a hit. God, she was really enjoying these times, more than she maybe should. “Fine, I guess. I don’t know.” She shrugged. “She’s just so... set in her ways y’know? Stubborn. My sister-in-law would say witch.” She laughed again.

“Hey..” He smiled back at her, it had been awhile. “I’ve been okay. How about yourself? How are things with Ron or whatever his name?”

“I’m... fine.” Molly didn’t really know but she wasn’t lying around sobbing every second anymore. “Oh... I dumped him actually.” Molly admitted, shrugging a little. “I mean, I was only seeing him because I knew when my mum found out it’d piss her off.... and after Alex... that didn’t seem so important.” She made a face. “How’s... um. Sarah? I mean... well, either one.” A little laugh.

“I’m sorry, my love. I was unsure if you were in your office or not.” Linda turned to Eric and Molly. Noticing Eric hand Brooklyn over to Molly. “I could have taken her.” But she also knew how Imogen felt but she didn’t give a damn. That girl being locked up was for the best. “We have one scheduled for what? The last week of the month? And then we have our annual party which you are both going to attend. This is not up for debate.” She looked between Eric and Molly. “Just a visit?” She raised a brow slightly.

“I just came from there…” Arthur smiled softly, walking up to stand beside Linda. He folded the newspaper, rolling it up and tucking it into his back pocket. “Yes, the last week of the month but currently I am not even sure what day it is…” He chuckled a bit, glancing at Linda. His attention then went to Eric and he gave a small nod. He glanced toward Linda for a moment, having this feeling that whatever it was about she would not like. He looked back toward Eric and beckoned, taking a step back and heading back toward the door he had entered through. “

“Thanks.” Eric looked over at Linda for a moment. “We will be there even if it’s for a little bit. We have Imogen’s family’s Christmas as well.” He pointed out before nodding his head to follow his father. Moving into the office, he closed the door behind him. “Dad, I need a favor and I know that mum isn’t going to like it at all.” He sighed a little bit. “I need you to help me with Imogen, get her out of this mess. She didn’t do this. So just help me please.” He looked away for a moment before back to Arthur. “She’s also pregnant again.” // @mollysmatthews​

Molly didn’t know what to say when her mother said she could have taken Brooklyn... so she pretended she hadn’t heard, adjusting Brooklyn in her arms and then going to sit down with her once her dad and Eric moved off. “So, uh... mum.” She needed to stop her barging on in there, right? “Anything new?” @linda--matthews​

Linda was looking at the flower arrangement. “No, Gloria these are all wrong. Get them out of here please.” She watched the maid take the flowers away, she should have fired her ages ago but she also knew that would probably break her children’s hearts. Hearing the door, she glanced over at it seeing Molly and Eric and Eric with Brooklyn. She couldn’t help but smile a little bit. “What a pleasant surprise.” Maybe she was also still medicated over Alexander’s death but no one needed to know that. “Arthur! The kids are here.” She called out and moved towards the door. “Now what is it that you two need or want? Or is this just a visit?”

“She will want those tomorrow, Gloria. Put them in my office…” He whispered as he walked past her in the hallway. He continued through, staring down at the newspaper in his hand. “I am right here…” He said in a soft voice, looking up from the paper. “I am sure they are here for a visit, unless there was a family dinner scheduled that I missed…” He looked his children over, curiously.

“I hope so, Molly. I really do.” It was game, and Eric knew this because the timeline didn’t match up and Imogen wouldn’t kill Evan. He believed this. Despite the past between Evan and Brooke, killing him was just something that she wouldn’t do. Nodding his head before they moved inside, he held Brooklyn close to him, kissing her temple lightly. “Mother.” He looked at Arthur for a moment. “Just a visit. And dad, I do need to speak to you..alone if you have a minute.” He glanced over at Molly for a moment. “Molly, can you take her?” He started to hand her over to his sister.

“Yeah, I’ve got her...” She murmured, taking Brooklyn and holding onto her. She glanced at her mother, knowing Imogen wouldn’t want her to get her hands on her so she wasn’t going to put the little girl down. Linda could fawn over them all she liked but Molly wasn’t going to be on the receiving end of a Ford tongue-lashing for letting her take the baby. “No family dinner scheduled for a while, dad.” Molly chuckled, looking over at him with a smile before she turned back to Linda and shrugged. “Just thought we’d... stop by.”
