Yeah so I never really had established rules per se because of the more casual nature of my relationships, so I can’t give you any hard answers here. Maybe think about the specifics of your dynamic? Is it more pet play oriented or dd/lg maybe? I know some folks have relationships based around denial/permissions, or what subs can/can’t wear. 

I know some Doms have specific punishments for things? like “touching = a page of lines” or “1 orgasm = 10 spanks”? Maybe you can ask your partner about their previous relationships that included a list of rules and what some of those were.
