   I am truly sad to say this but, this is officially the announcement of my hiatus — for how long, even I do not know, but I will not forget any of you. I just haven’t had the time to come as often as I would like to just to reply to things or join in on the fun everyone else is having, but I just don’t feel like being online is a top priority anymore. Sure you might be saying, "But I have a job, and go on tumblr — why can’t you?"

Because this is different. I feel like I don’t need to be online all the time to be happy, or find things to do because I feel like I’m worth more with spending my time with my job, earning money, getting more hours and finally being able to LIVE my life after so many years of going NOWHERE with it.

I deserve that much.

So yeah, this goes for all my blogs. I’m probably gonna reply to whatever I have in my drafts on Sunday night and then be off on my way.

When things start to settle down (which I doubt) I’ll come back now and then to say my salutations to everyone, but I probably won’t work on any drafts — though I might just queue photos and that’s probably it.

ok babes, gotta go.  if you want to talk to me on skype, i can share that with you, but to be honest, I forget to sign into it a lot. So I could be on my laptop, but not online on skype. Haha.

A smirk of something akin to approval flashed across Shadow’s features before he stood up, dusting loose leaves and dirt from himself with several sharp shakes of his shoulders. Up close, the girl looked dramatically less threatening than he’d thought originally, but the hands behind her back were hardly anything to take lightly. He recognized that movement; the subtle shift of hands and arm, waiting to draw something — a weapon, most likely, who wouldn’t? — to defend oneself against a potential threat. Ah, but that’s what he was, wasn’t he? A threat chasing what could be another threat. There was certainly some form of irony or continuity in the situation, but he couldn’t be bothered to address it.

Crossing his arms, the raven-haired male stepped around the bushes he’d been using for cover and rested his back against the tree he’d hidden behind early. Against the various shades of green the forest offered, his dark clothing and appearance stood out, making his skin seem all the more pale and his crimson eyes stand out. The smirk had yet to leave Shadow’s features and he inclined his head to the side, looking the girl up and down with interest. She was… different, that much he could sense. Most would be frightened in this situation, but she didn’t seem to be, not in the slightest, it didn’t appear as if it were mere bravado keeping her face straight either. That was interesting, very interesting.

Something about her appearance was familiar, as if he’d seen it somewhere before, but the memories were too vague to make out, and memory had never been his strong point. Not recently. Too many cases of amnesia left him with only a handful of things he could be certain of, and slowly gathering new ones still left him in a fog. In any case, it wasn’t really important. Not to him, not now.

“Isn’t it considered polite to offer your name before demanding another?”

❁ Her body remained still, as well as her emerald oculars listless, yet keen to his entire awareness once the stalker had revealed himself from beyond the shrubs that cradled his cowardice when he seemed to be following her -- or so she managed to make of quite a peculiar, she kept a dauntless expression on porcelain cheeks that was graced by eyelashes as she blinked. Though her lithe fingers remained wrapped around a solid base of her blade's handle, she made no other form of movement unless it was a turn of her head.     Eyes of a raven, she had kept her gaze toward the unknown person who had approached her, and wanting to keep the distance between them as it was, she only made subtle steps backwards if he were to ever so slightly move into her direction. Do not harm me, and I shall do the same. Though she was unsure of why he had shown himself to her at this moment would forever bother the inner depths of her mind, she only shook thought fleeting thoughts away, continuing to stare with a mere baffled look mixed with anxiety. Who might you be?      She couldn't recognize him as someone from her Wonderland -- and every single character had their own individuality that she could label their name, and where they were from, with ease. But this one... She couldn't put a finger on this mystery gawking in front of her in this deafening silence that was sending her mad.     Once he had spoken, it had taken her aback to know that he had a voice. In return, she arched a brow to such a remark. 

    "You may be correct -- but you may have been following me this entire time, haven't you? If anything.." She faintly became flustered, tucking her weapon back into the sheath she had hidden away, and patting down her dress. "I am Alice, as if you really needed to know."

She talks to herself, Shadow thought, leaning against a tree and out just far enough to keep an eye on the dark-haired girl. She didn’t seem all that interested in harming anyone, nor from what he could tell. He knew well that appearances, no matter how dodgy, didn’t always determine a threat. After all, he was a walking example of that. But what does she want?

Frowning, he moved forward, slipping into a mass of bushes to peer through the leaves, raising an eyebrow. ‘Nature girl’, seemed a suiting enough means of describing her, but that didn’t make him any less uneasy. Then again, what reason did he have to be afraid? She wasn’t attempting to attack or destroy anything, that seemed reason enough to not bother with following her at all.

Lowering his gaze to the ground, Shadow took a half-step to the left, placing his foot over a fallen twig. It wouldn’t hurt to see what is was she wanted. With that, he brought his foot down hard and a loud crack filling the air.

❁ To a minimum she gazed out into the open every so often, double-checking for any other signs of live as she continued to survey. "How dull this place is!" Her nose wrinkled, and prior to the light wind causing a gust through her hair, tousling her sleek hair to an abrupt unkempt style. She cursed under her breath, reaching for the sides of her dress, crumpling up the fabric with clenched, small hands.  "This is driving me mad." She felt her eye brows beginning to furrow downward, and her lips tugging into a scowling look as she glowered. Alice quietly began to pace back and forth, lightly kicking a pebble as she went on her way with the stride. "Is there really no one else out here?" She seemingly found her voice to be unpleasant from too much talking, ceasing soon after.

Shifting her body toward the sound of the crack that nearly startled her, she looked past the large bristles of the bushes a few feet from her with a menacing look. Her arm bent behind her back as if she were reaching for her weapon of choice, but hesitant to grab the handle tucked secretly behind her. "Enemy, or stalker?" She said with a snicker toward who, or whatever, made the noise. "Identify yourself."

He’d seen the girl only a few times, but something about her presence set of warning bells in his head. Be it the way she carried herself or simply the unusual aura she seemed to set off, he didn’t like it, and he didn’t like her so close to the area he inhabited. Threats were something he didn’t take lightly, and anything deemed dangerous needed to be dealt with and disposed of if the threat proved to be genuine.

Blending in with a crowd wasn’t exactly his forte, especially with his affinity for darker colours and unusual natural crimson eyes and highlights. Still, he’d had enough practice to know how to use the shadows around him properly and avoid being seen. It was something he more often than not used to his advantage, and he made heavy use of the skills as he followed the mysterious woman.

❁  Alice couldn't quite pinpoint where she was exactly, or even if she was still somewhere in her part of her Wonderland. Or maybe it was Londerland all over again? Though this vast area was nothing but strange to her, she couldn't help but to venture admist the trees and grass beneath her feet with a slight frolic of butterflies gently following behind her.

Feeling a bit estranged toward the sun that shone down from above, she decided to seek shelter among the darkest of shades given by the near by trees, subconsciously patting down the ruffle of her iconic blue dress nicely tailored on her behalf. She settled underneath the shade for a moment to gather herself, saving her stamina.

"This place is awfully too much for me," she said with a hush, taking a look around once more. "Is there really no one else around?" She began to frown. "Not even Cheshire is around, is he..? That mangy cat."
