A gasp escaped Levi as the fire hydrant burst. He managed to avoid the metal, but the water shooting forth from it hit him like a small truck and had him shooting back for a second before he managed to get out of the stream’s way. That bitch! A small growl escaped his lips as he demanded the dog to go for the boy’s legs while he had a few of his familiar’s slithering, flying, and running this way. Cyclopes who was a the pure white wolf, a snake, and a crow. Along with the other man’s dog? Levi was quite confident. “I’m about to wipe the floor with you, bitch.” Levi growled as the dog went for another lunge.

   monserrate was more , than satisfied at his work. fully expecting for the other to simply take his leave , he’s shocked to see the fleet of animals all rushing to him. so this guy , was a conduit as well. would explain how he could control , his dog. it almost feels like back at the children’s home , when the kids would gang up and take turns wailing , on him. uncaring for any of the animals , except of course , his own he throws out his arms. waves of telekinetic luck , hitting the descending creatures. the snake and bird , were easy enough to thwart off. the wolf on the other hand , was another issue. mind racing ,he aims a bolt at the gushing water. changing it’s direction towards the wolf , hoping it’d be enough to throw it off. “ can’t fight your own battles , can yah? you’re so fuckin’ pathetic , sendin’ out animals , to do your dirty work. ” he taunts over at the other. “ why don’t yah come over ‘ere? ”

Levi’s jaw clenched as he heard the other man’s words. But than an idea came to his mind. “You’re going to regret that.” Levi growled, and with a flash of his eyes the plan started. The dog that the other had been traveling with was suddenly under his control, and Levi watched as the dog attempted to bite into the arm of it’s owner. “You’re right, I do suck at blackmail. I’m more of the ‘by force’ kind of guy.” Levi said with a cocky grin and a smirk.

  the ‘ threat ’ earned the other a scoff , and roll of eyes. he’d dealt with meaner , scarier and drunker. this guy didn’t deserve even a shred , of his attention. just as monserrate was leading coachella away , she tries snagging his arm. his own luck , preventing it from happening. he was shocked to say the least , as he looked down at her. putting two and two together , he spins on heel. “ that was you , fuckin’ with my dog? yah got some fuckin’ big ones , i’ll say that. if yah wanna play , we can play. ” blue eyes glow with mischief , as he waves a hand at the other. waves of misfortune sailing towards him , hitting the nearby fire hydrant and causing it to suddenly burst.

Levi watched as the other returned the other man’s wallet, although his cunning eyes had managed to see that the man’s wallet was definitely a little lighter. Levi smirked as he approached the other man. “Give me half, otherwise I let him know that 100 bucks just ‘happened’ to have fallen into your hand.” Levi negotiated with a smirk as he looked at the other boy.

   oh. this guy thought he cared , about being caught? “ aye , c’mere. ”  mon motions the other guy closer , leaning in as if to share a secret. “ yah fuckin’ suck , at blackmailin’. go run an’ snitch , i don’t fuckin’ care. ” he scoffs as he steps back , looking the other up and down. not at all impressed , he moves to shove past the other. “ can’t even prove it was me , coulda been anyone. keep your fuckin’ nose , outta my business. it’d be a shame , if someone messed up that pretty face of yours. ”

    it was an off day for him , so he opted to go for a stroll. taking his dog with him , to explore some of downtown chicago. apparently old habits , died hard. he’d given in to temptation. but in his defense , they’d actually dropped their wallet. monserrate had just taken what he deemed was a fair enough tip. “ hey , you dropped this. ” he called out to them , handing the item over. “figured you’d want it back. ” he informs with a shrug. and if their wallet felt lighter than what it had been , then oh well.

archer-lichter‌:

The German man continued compressing the space, taking in the power he had over the other Conduit. Despite everything, Archer came out on top. He always did, and he loved it, having other’s under his control. Easily pulling Mon off from the wall, he telekinetically dragged the younger man towards him, the space around him compressing all the same. Not until he heard the satisfying crack of another bone or two. Maybe three, if he were lucky. Reaching forward, he gripped Mon’s hair, cold, blue eyes staring back down at the struggling young man. Archer’s eyes flashed briefly as the air around him began to squeeze out of the space. “Remember me. Pull a stunt on me again, and I’ll let your body squish to a pulp. Squeeze your heart all over the walls of this place,” he growled lowly, his grip only tightening with the compression of space.

 mon hissed , as he was yanked forward , by the invisible force. teeth digging into his bottom lip, to keep from crying out. mentally pushing down the pain , of still being slowly squished. but the crack of actual bone , had him screaming out , in agony. the harsh grip in his hair , had him wincing , even more. though as his eyes met archer’s , he held the gaze. not wanting to show , anymore weakness , than he’d already done. “ ea-eat a dick , you fuckin’ fuckface. ” wheezes out , hands twitching with the urge , to try and hit arch. “ jus’ fuckin’--- let me go. ” he hoped , to run into this man again. next time , he’d be better prepared. maybe there was a way to avoid, getting his ass kicked this badly , again. “ watch your back , assclown. it’s a puny fuckin’ , city.”

James understood that reaction too. Attacking oneself; seeing oneself as the problem. James swallowed, the display making his mind conjure his own past. “A cure by any other name is still a cure. But, if the cure is worse than the disease, is it a really a cure? Is it really of any help to you?” James posited, eyes peeled to take in any and all reactions he could from Monserrate. That pit of darkness…James knew how powerful it was, how strong the tendrils of its grasp were, how hard it was to break free from them.

  “ding-ding , there you fuckin’ go. ” sighs heavily , hand tightening around the baggie. “ i .... i don’t--- no. no it’s ... it;s not , but fuck. nothin’ ever worked before these little bad boys , came ‘long. so long as i wasn’t drownin’ , i didn’t give any shits ; ‘bout , what they’d have on my body , in the long run. ” mon admitted , finally pocketing the baggie. making a move , to step out of the restroom ; and back to where he’d slept. “ can i ... uh .... well , how do you know ... how to help someone out , like this? you trained in it , or somethin’? or did you ... you know ... go through the same shit? ”  he asks , swallowing thickly.

If it wasn’t for the dog, Adam just might have threw a fist. God, how satisfying the crunch would’ve been! It would’ve shut Rat-Face up and left him with a lovely shiner for his douchebaggy troubles! He focused on the dog as a grounder, rubbing behind her ears; the smile that brought him wasn’t all fake. So, of course, Splinter would scoop her up like a bully of a big brother. Adam sighed and pushed back to his feet. 

“Well, ‘f ye’re so interested, you go first. Show me what ye can do ‘n’ I jus’ might do the same.” He threw out, his hands falling into his pockets as he waited, watching for the effect his deal would have. This guy seemed really interested in his powers; it was strange.

  smug smirk stretched , across his face. yeah using coachella like that , was a dick move ; but did mon care? absolutely fucking , not. “ you must be fuckin’ dumb or somethin’ , that isn’t what i was offerin’. ” spat out , with an exhausted sigh. but so long , as his curiosity was sated ; he didn’t mind , showing off , what he could do. “ fine , only ‘cause i want to , though. not ‘cause you told me , or whatever. ”  

  setting down his charge , mon turns to scan the area around them. grinning as he caught eye of a couple , spread out on a blanket and eating , on the grass. with a simple snap of his fingers, a wave of misfortune flew out towards them. hitting the ground , and causing the sprinklers to start spurting ; all over the cute little scene. “ there you go , done and done. i get to fuck , with people’s luck. your turn , fuck-face. ”

Archer stared back at him, his fury flashing visibly in those bright blue eyes. That was the way he was going to play it, then? “Nice last words,” he snorted, only wiping away the spit from Mon. He continued compressing the space, a small part of him wanting to fully let go, to keep on shrinking the space around Mon until he was put up into this teeny, tiny box, compressing and cracking every bone and vessel in his body until he was an amorphous, bloody, fleshy cube. It would just be so satisfying. “I’d save your breath, if I were you. Makes it hurt just a little less,” he said flatly. “Won’t have to force the air out of your lungs until they pop.”

  every part of him was screaming , as he was slowly crushed under the invisible force. any remarks he tried throwing out , stayed caught in his throat , while he fought to breathe. there was no fighting back , nothing he could do , to escape. not unless archer , allowed it so. his vision fades in and out , as he gasps helplessly ; from his spot , pinned to the wall. practically hearing the bones in his body , snap and break , under all the compression. finally with one last forced gasp , he was shouting back at the man. “ i give , stop! let me fuckin’ go! ” snarls , wondering if arch was past the point , of mercy.

Grimacing at the rather cheap blow between his legs, Archer took a step back, his grip loosening around Mon’s neck. It hurt like hell, no doubt, and the blonde man gritted his teeth out of pure rage. So that was how he wanted to play, huh Cheap and dirty. Fine; he grew up like that before PRIME even found him, and Archer wasn’t exactly looking to hold back anymore. The agent stared at the younger man for a long moment, half debating how much trouble he’d in if he ripped the other in two. One simple portal cut could get the job done, or he could do it himself, hands on style. “Walk away now,” he said darkly, his blue eyes unwavering as he began tightening the space around Mon. “Walk away, and I promise I won’t squeeze you so tight, your heart pops.”

 a wicked and twisted grin , as his blow lands ; and the hands around his throat , loosen. only for a look of panic to wash over his features , as his air was suddenly becoming less and less. every breath harder to take , than the last. any rational person at this point , would have eagerly followed archer’s order. but mon , was fucking far , from any rational or sane person. his reaction was gritting his teeth , in frustration. “ fuck you , you fuckin’ heapin’ pile , of shit. ” ground out , leaning to spit , directly at archer. his own eyes locked with the man’s , as they returned the heated glare.

Adam scoffed. “Take more’n that from a rat-faced dick like you,” He countered, turning back to the pupper and giving it more attention. Instant therapy dog and Adam ate it up; a good thing too as the other guy started laughing at him. Adam grit his teeth but, for the sake of the dog, he didn’t rise to it; it didn’t deserve to be in the middle of a brawl. “Ya done?” He sighed when the laughing finally stopped. Acting definitely wasn’t this twat’s day job!

Then Adam looked up at the guy from where he was still crouched by the dog. “Why would I?” He just shrugged. There was nothing about this guy to make Adam trust him enough to reveal his powers. Especially when, supposedly, he was different than regular conduits…

 “ ugh , whatever. suck my fuckin’ dick , you look like a fuckin’ hybrid beaver-otter thing. ”  snipped back , with a chortle in his throat. but clearly , he wasn’t getting a rise out of the guy. boredom quickly kicked in , at the realization ; and mon was now more interested , in seeing what sort of powers , adam had. of course though , that proving to be difficult too. 

 pulling out his juul , he took a large inhale. blowing the smoke , in rings. “ hey fine , whatever. you’re too much of a crybaby bitch , to at least just tell me. ” mon shrugged lazily , leaning to scoop up coachella. “ guess i got no other business ‘ere , fuckin’ peace out beaver-otter thing. or whatever the fuck , your name is. ”

James could understand that. Seclusion, avoidance and denial had been his cruxes. “If they are what keeps you grounded, why are they not good for you?” He asked softly, almost breathing the words into the room. It was a question that deserved the care and empathy of breathing, existing, before being answered. Not a throwaway set of words but a challenge. A turning point. It demanded the gravity of such.

 “ well , maybe grounded isn’t the best word. more like ... they keep me higher than a  fuckin’ kite , long enough to not think ‘bout shit. ” replied dryly , hand fisting the baggie. fingers itching to dip into the plastic , to pull a pill out. slip it past lips , to let it just settle ; on his tongue. “ i can’t do it .... does that make me ... past helpin’? since i’m not strong enough , to fuckin’ finish step one? ” voice dripped caustically , as he felt his hands just tremble at his sides. the little strength he’d felt earlier , completely devoid.

Justin blinked as the other seemed upset that he had taken the other man’s words at face value. “So…I need to not take what you say literally?” Justin asked with a frown. The android couldn’t remember if things had been this hard or confusing when he was more human than android, but he doubted it was. “I was made to survive much more things. A jump off the a cliff may have me immobile for a bit, but it wouldn’t kill me.” Justin informed the other. “What do you wish to know?”

 “ yes. exactly. ” huffed , with a roll of eyes. only to let out an exhausted groan , as justin continued , to do the exact opposite. “ see. that. that , right there ; is exactly , what i mean. i’m not tellin’ you to actually go divin’ off a cliff. i’m meanin’ to say , that i wan’t you to fuck off. ” why was he still trying to explain this , to someone who practically a robot? better question , why did he care? sighing he just shook his head , dismissing the topic ; before moving on , to the next one. “ well for one , why were they chasin’ you? what were you , a prisoner , or somethin’? ” asked , curiosity , twisting into his words. “ what’d you go and do , to piss off like that? fucks sake , they were shootin’ at you , and everythin’. ”

“You could make for a great creative writer one day, or an exploitation journalist. Or even a politician,” Santos dryly teased when the kid finished his story, “Because it’s interesting. The man who came in and actually dropped off this car said he needed me to buffer that dent out. It’s his wife’s pride and joy and if she finds out he was taking her car out for a spin, without her permission, an immediate divorce would be in his future.” The mechanic shrugged. “He has her thinking it was stolen, and he wants to look like a hero by bringing it back to her tomorrow.” The kid inched closer and he was just being charming and coy as fuck. Santos couldn’t say he minded it. Mon was persistent, he’d give him that. His face was not phased, but he was interested in how all this would fold out. “How else could you be more persuasive?” he asked, boldly reaching over to brush a stray blonde curl out of the boy’s face to get a better look at his sparkling eyes. “You can get someone in trouble, you know…”

  smirk slowly morphed , into a grin. teeth catching bottom lip , as he fought the widening feature ; while listening to santos’ version. “ always did have an active , imagination. ” was his easy reply , shrugging his shoulders ; leaning carelessly , against the car. “ like my version better though , gotta admit. ” each word , was another steady step , towards the mechanic. bright cerulean eyes , following the movement of the man’s hand. full out grin , now displayed ; as the hair was pushed off , of his face. his own hands snaked up between them , laying to rest , on top of the other’s chest. “ i’ve got my ways , don’t you worry. and , i know. question is .... how much trouble , are you willin’ to risk , with me? ” questioned , as eyes darted to the man’s mouth. hands fisting into the other’s shirt , as he swiftly yanked him down , to connect their lips.

And there was two. Like last time, James stayed silent in his vigil, taking in Monserrate as he tipped the second bag. His shaking had gotten stronger and James could see the addiction inside fighting back harder this time. But he had another smile of encouragement for the young man when he turned to him. That look…James’ heart gave a painful lurch in his chest. For just an instant, James felt like a father again, like he was supporting someone young who needed him. For an instant, Monserrate’s beseeching face became his daughter.

With a swallow and a blink, James mastered himself. Now was not the time to fall back into his own sorrow. “Why not?” He asked softly, still emotional from his own stumble into the past.

   he hated himself , for doing this , to his own body. and now , it was getting back at him. in the form , of not letting him , entirely rid of his stash. mon wanted to just hit something , take out his anger and frustration on anything. his bottom lip wobbled , and he bit down hard on it. refusing to let his emotions over run him again , in such a short time frame. “ fuck! i don’t know why , okay! i don’t wanna , take ‘em ; but i can’t .... i can’t get rid of ‘em. they just ... keep me grounded. knowin’ there’s still somethin’ , i can rely on. ” was the honest truth , as he looked down at the baggie. hating how much power , these little pills had over him.

That was a half-assed apology if he ever heard one but, hey, it was what it was. Adam just ‘hmm’ed, his eyes straying to the dog. Maybe she was making him soft enough to take that excuse of an apology. She was gorgeous. He sort of got it: this guy had a big chip on his shoulder. Adam knew that feeling but when it was directed at him he shoved back. Hard. Always had; he’d been taught to punch someone back twice as hard so they don’t give you a second punch.

Taking the dog treat, Adam crouched to be more on level with the dog. “Hey gorgeous, sit for me…sit…yeah, good girl.” Seconds into talking to the dog and he became a lighter man, his own angers forgotten as he gave her the treat with one hand and ruffled her head with the other, smiling freely. “No clue mate. They looked like some freak science experiment. Took away any powers too, which I didn’t know was even a thing.” Adam replied, being much more open than every usually before. To bring up powers first…that was new for him.

  a roll of his eyes , was all  mon gave. watching with narrow eyes , as adam moved to coo at coachella. “ ugggh gross. i hope you don’t sound as fuckin’ whacky , if you ever talk to rugrats. know i’d be runnin’ in the opposite , direction. ” mocked haughtily , as they walked. thoughts drifting back , to the insanity , that had taken place that night. by now he figured , it was because of him being a conduit. but , what he was truly curious about , is what their gain was. how much could possibly be gained , by just senselessly , attacking conduits. 

  “ yeah. that was the whole fuckin’ cherry , on top of the sundae. ” scoffed , kicking at the little pebbles , that littered the ground. “ so ... what’s it exactly , you do? with your super-power or whatever? you tell me a secret , and i’ll tell you mine. ” mused with a faintest hints , of an actual grin.

“Ass clown? How colorful.” Rome snorted at at, though there was a twinge at the thought of clowns. He hated clowns, they were so creepy. Eyes narrowed as the other grabbed the bill back, he has a suspicion that he was’t just going to pay for his own. “You fucker.” He grumbled, earning them both a glare from the old lady at a neighboring table, who Roman just glared at in return. His threatening gaze was cut short as his money was literally thrown in his face. There was a low grunt as he picked up the bills from his lap, looking majorly displeased. “Why are you such a difficult thing.” He muttered under his breath.

The next comment pulled a deep laugh from Ro, his head even shaking as a lock of blond hair landed in his forehead. “Good thing I don’t go to church then, huh?” He actually winked at Mon though his gaze quickly shot to the folder now held away from him. “I would blaze you out anyway, dumbass. Now, give.” He leant over the table to grab it back as Mon teased him. 

  “ gotta stay , creative. ” replied back smoothly , laugh falling from his lips , at the instant comeback. “ what can i say , it’s one of my few , charmin’ qualities. can’t just go ‘round bein’ easy now , can we. though .... maybe for you , i’d make an exception. ” smirk only intensified , at his own words. raising a teasing brow , at the man across from him. only for him to quickly glance away , at his following statement. urging the slight little flush of color , away from his cheeks. 

  gaze was turned back onto rome , though as he leant across the table. eyes narrowing , as he reached for the check , again. “ no , you prick. i said , i got it. ” he emphasized his point , by thwacking roman’s head with the folder. gently enough , for it to not cause any actual pain. but firm enough , to express , he was serious. “ you’re gonna owe me a lot more , than just weed ; with all this , fuckin’ ruckus. tell you what. say the magic words , and i’ll give you the check. ” mon challenged slyly , with an arch of his brow.

Roman was already annoyed  with this, he hated dates. He’d been on a fair few, but mostly that was back when he was in high school. The man had fallen into a bad routine of fuck buddies and one night stands, but here he was on a date with someone he considered nothing more than a friend with benefits. He could feel that little pull in his chest as he had started to grow fond of the boy sitting across from him. It was honestly the only reason he was here, because he thought that was what Monserrate wanted. 

The man crinkled his nose at how little Mon ate, he was always disapproving of the younger’s lack of self care. “Fucking no.” Roman snatched the bill. “There is no way in hell you’re paying for my meal you little psycho.” He shoved his hand into his back pocket to retrieve his wallet. “You can pay for yourself, but not for me.” He wasn’t really that much of a gentleman but he would try sometimes. He also wasn’t about to let someone try to take care of him, that was one thing he couldn’t bare to do. 

  he blinked a few times , as he processed everything that happened ; in just that thirty second time frame. the bill that’d been in his hand , was now in roman’s. mon sucked in a breath , to push down the urge , of jumping across the table. “ it wasn’t a suggestion , you fuckin’ ass clown. ” he spat out , with a pointed look. reaching his hand over , to snatch it right back , from rome. “ but fine , whatever you say. i’ll pay for my own. ” lied easily , as he opened the opened the little black folder. clicking his tongue , at the man’s form of payment ; before tossing it right back , at his face. 

   “ you’ll learn soon enough , that my word , is fuckin’ gospel. really not tryin’ to kick your ass , in front of all these people. ” harked , shoving a bill into the folder. holding it out of reach. “ hurry up and finish whatever , you’re doin’. you’re blazin’ me out , for all this fuckin’ trouble , you cause. ” mon smirked up at rome , waving the check tauntingly , at him.
