Minjun nodded with a giggle “I’m Mommy’s little helper!” He sang happily. I giggled softly finally coming up behind him. “Yes you are sweetie” I smiled up at the man in front of me, feeling a blush from noticing how handsome he was. “Hello sorry to keep waiting” I gave a shy smile. “I see Junnie was keeping you company though” I joked a small shy giggle slipping out. ~Tayler

“Oh, I see!” Kihyun replied to the kid with a smile. “He was keeping me excellent company.” He stold you fondly. He looked at the child. “Is this your mommy, Junnie?” He played along, leaning a bit to be closer to the boy.

"Perhaps it's alright for you to break the rules your highness. But for me. " I paused hesitating on my words, "In my life, where I come from if you break the rules it means you're sent back to nothing, a life in the dirt fighting for scraps. Well if you're lucky, the other possibility is death. S-So breaking rules isn't really an option unless you know how to not get caught or live in the streets." I explain softly. - Bri

The possibility of Changkyun having a larger role than the ones his father had planned bloomed in his mind. What if...? What if, as you said, it was his turn to turn away from what had been imposed for centuries? What if it was his turn to blow things up? “Don’t you think you can help? Don’t you think you can be someone’s inspiration?” He waved your words away. He didn’t like talking about risks. About negative what ifs. He preferred to focus on the positive, on what he liked.

I yelp quietly as someone drags me into the hiding spot. Trying to get away and my training heightening my senses as I'm on guard until my eyes meet the prince's. I breath a small sigh of relief, "Your highness, please don't do that." I say softly, before noticing how we were practically pressed against each other in the small space, "W-We should go, this isn't proper your highness." - Bri

Changkyun rolled his eyes. He softened the grasp of his hands on your arms, but kept them on you. “Come on~” he mouthed, still grinning. How was this behavior unproper? He wasn’t harassing you; he wasn’t making a hell of your life. He just wanted to spice up his boring routine at the castle. He had no one to play with - no one of his age. Now that he had found you, he’d try to get a bit of excitement in his life. “Aren’t you bored of constantly listening to orders? Aren’t rules made to be broken?” He raised an eyebrow, expectant.

I collect myself dusting off as I got up and made sure nothing had fallen over with me. Not even realizing that me knees and palms were scratched up as I walk down the halls looking for any sign of the prince, "My commander and the king are gonna have my head for this." I whine to myself as I try to find anywhere to that the prince could be hiding. "Your majesty please, is this really necessary? Can't we just talk?" I call hoping he was within earshot. - Bri

Changkyun was trying to breathe as noiselessly as possible. You were close, he knew it. He heard steps, nearly unnoticeable. He saw a shadow cross the gap left between a wall and a piece of furniture. He chuckled to himself. biting onto his tongue not to laugh out loud, he grabbed your wrist and tucked you into the nook he had found himelf seconds before. His eyes bore into yours, a mischievous grin playing on his lips.

I had walked into the kitchen to put on an apron, not noticing the sound of someone coming in. However, my son, jumped up excited after hearing the first person come in. He used his step stool, allowing his little head to pop up from behind the counter & smile at the man before him. "Hi~!" He chirped, bouncing on his heels. I heard my son's voice from the kitchen and laughed softly to myself as I finished tying my apron. I heard a man's voice speaking to him as I slowly emerged. ~Tayler

“Hello, there~” Kihyun’s face lit up upon seeing the little boy. “Are you the waiter for today?” He asked with a smile. What a surprise! What was that kid doing here? The employees didn’t seem to mind him; maybe he belonged to one of them?

It was my first day opening the cafe finally. My son, Minjun, was excitedly helping me prepare the shop before opening, rambling off his ideas for displaying all the different sweets. The few employees I hired already loved him, playing with him while I opened cafe. I was grateful for them knowing they offered to help me with him during their breaks until he was back in school since he would have to come with me, although he was always very well behaved & loved to help. ~Tayler

Kihyun exited the building he was living in - and owning, as a matter of fact, and strolled down the road towards Monsta X, the company he had founded with friends. He was to have a meeting with Hyunwoo about some design that didn’t please him. Whatever. He fiffled with his phone, as this one was vibrating. Passing by a café, he picked up the call from Jooheon. Could Kihyun tell Hyunwoo that Jooheon would be late - once again? Of course, he could. Would he do it? Absolutely not. But Jooheon didn’t need to know. Shaking his head, he had a look behind him and discovered a bright new façade. Was it the café? But Kihyun didn’t remember there being a café. At all.

He entered, and went right to the counter.

I tried my best to keep up with him and his sudden turns through the halls knowing that if I lost sight of him I likely wouldn't be able to find him throughout them all again, or even find my own way out all too easily. But the distance between the two of us was growing wider as he weaved through the halls familiar to him. And when I tripped on sonething trying to catch up I knew it was over, watching you turn another corner as I picked myself back up. - Bri

Changkyun dodged walls like an expert, his legs racing through the corridors. To him, it was all a game. Especially with a new person. He had memorized every nook, and he knew there was one close. He hid himself in one, hearing footsteps, then silence and huff. Were you already giving up on the chase? That easily? that quickly? Or was it a plan you had to fool him? He waited, biting his lips, adrenaline running in his veins. It had been such a long time he hadn’t felt a rush.

I gasped hearing someone running and rush out to the hall to see who it was upon catching sight of the prince down the hall I rush after him. Doing my best to keep up with someone taller with longer legs. But I'd been used to that from training as I pushed to close the gap between us. "Your majesty, please! There is something for you anyways, can't you just calm down and go get that?" - Bri

Changkyun heard steps rushing after him. It was you, of course! it was confirmed with your calling after him. Something about a letter or a package for him. Whatever... He wouldn’t admit it, but he was impressed with how quickly you caught up with his speed. He ran onwards, turning left and right here and there, knowing the maze of a corridor the palace was better than you.

I kept my eyes on the hallway and when someone arrived to drop something off for the prince I thoroughly inspected it before knocking, "You majesty there is something here for you." I call. Once, then twice, and even a third time. With a sigh at no answer I apologise to the worker and ask them to return before slipping into the room. At the sight of no one there I curse under my breath before noticing scuffs on the floor and followed them to your secret door before going in. - Bri

Changkyun wondered what to do next: Wait for you to understand there was no one in his bedroom? Get out of the room and surprise you? He opted for the second choice and walked towards the door leading to the corridor. He heard a door close - probably his. You might be checking if he was in there. His hand on the knob, he turned around when he heard the secret door open. Getting a glimpse of you, he slipped into the corridor and began running.

For a moment I debated the best way to do my job, whether I should go into a man's room or not. As a woman even assigned as I was, it would seem a certain way and if spread likely lead to me being considered the prince's mistress. The king would know better but it wouldn't much matter to the people, but if I stayed outside the prince might try something as he was known for. After worrying my lip for a few moments in thought I decided to station myself right outside the door. - Bri

Changkyun waited and waited. Not even a minute, and he was already disappointed. You had not come inside. You were not this professional guard you seemed to infer. Strangely, it bothered him that you hadn’t. You were not courageous. He thought, that, maybe, for a second, you would be different from all the other men which had been appointed to protect him. that you would challenge him. But there he was, stuck in his room.

Yet, he was undefeated. He moved some of his furniture and sneaked in the next door room. He knew nobody would be there.

I give a small sigh as the prince ain't agrees for his father's sake, bowing to the king before swiftly following behind the prince as was now my place. Giving him a few feet as I followed silently, hands behind my back and keeping an eye out, not giving him directly all that much focus. - Bri

Changkyun left the room and walked back to his own room. He was trying to pay as less attention to you, but now that his father had assigned you, he couldn’t help but feel that a woman was following him everywhere.

Once inside, he sat  in a very unruly manner on the armchair facing his bed, his eyes on the door. Would you dare cross them?

"I can assure you Prince Changkyun I am perfectly capable of doing this job. I'm skilled enough to change the minds of men and get myself into the royal guards." I calmly speak to the prince as the king nods. "Son she is to be your new guardian." - Bri

“If you say so, Father.” Changkyun accepted, glancing at his father, not once at you; he had no real choice. But that didn’t mean that he wanted to obey every rule, and that he wouldn’t make your life a living hell. How in the world would you, a simpleton, change his mind? He didn’t need a guard, and certainly not a woman. And surely not a woman who was full of herself!

I stood besides the king, bowing at Prince Changkyun as he entered as he'd been called so that he could be informed that I would be taking over the responsibility of his care and protection. Walking down to take a spot by him and bowing to the king once more, trying to see how the prince would react, knowing he wouldn't hesitate to speak his mind about how he felt. - Bri

His father had stated he were to come this instant to see who his new personal guard was. His previous guard had called it quits when Changkyun had once again got on his nerves. Changkyun was the prince, and Changkyun had to follow orders? From strangers? Hell, no! He was to do what he wants, when he wants, as he wants. so, there he was, in his father’s apartments to have a look at that new guard. Who happened to be a woman. A woman?!?! What in the world?

He hadn’t noticed that you had bowed to him; he was used to this treatment.

He raised an eyebrow, looking at his father. “Really, Father? you’re playing this type of games with me? A woman? As my personal guard? Am I supposed to defend her?” He pointed at you without a look.

Okay, can I do a royal au with Changkyun then? When I'm a commoner who worked her way into the royal guards and is the only woman there and he's a bit of a spoiled brat, but they assign me to him thinking maybe he'll be a bit more behaved with a woman around? - Bri
